I went with my family on a sunny Sunday to this location. The free parking is very convenient and with lots of shade. We paid £7.20p for adults and it's free for children. At the entrance you can also buy some drinks and sweets. We were impressed by the very tall and very thick trees. There are many species of flowers and with a particularly beautiful flowering. But what we liked most was the peacocks that walked freely among the trees and were very friendly to people. We spent a pleasant weekend day.

Outstanding. Always something to see. The trees are fantastic. We went as bluebells we’re finishing but Rhododendron and Azaleas were out

A wonderful place!! We went in mid October so were treated to some incredible autumn colours and fungi. We did the whole loop round the fields too and easily passed a few hours admiring the trees, fungi, and birds around us. I was particularly happy to see the Californian redwoods and Gingko!! There are toilets but the cafe is weekends only.

What a beautiful arboretum! We went last weekend and enjoyed it very much. Gorgeous autumnal colours at the moment. Also there is a nice coffee place in a horsebox with sitting outside which is a great bonus! Our daughter loved seeing peacocks roaming around and spotting fairy houses.

This is such a gem!!!!! We went during the week and it was perfect. There was no where to eat or buy any drinks sadly but the arboretum has a mix of knowledge based posts that you can read and nice walks around. We came when the ground was quite wet so we couldnt really go to a lot of the meadows but still we enjoyed the park a lot! I think it will be worth having even a small cafe or some charity cupcakes or something for people to have some foods/drinks.

I also thought it will be worth having a ticket that lets you into both arboretum and the botanical gardens in town.

A spectacularly colourful display, not just from the plants but from the numerous peacocks wandering around. Friendly and informative staff at the entrance. Altogether a wonderful place for a quiet walk around on a sunny May morning.
