Not impressed to be honest.

Had my vehicle for over a week. When calling for updates was told on numerous occasions 'will call back in 5/10 mins' etc and had to chase again hours later every time, service was poor in that respect.

Was told MOT would be done on the Friday afternoon, called to ask progress before closing, was told 'it's on ramp being done now'. Come Monday morning it still wasn't done, so was clearly a lie.

Failed MOT on a number of wrong and questionable/borderline things, including 2 tyres that were legal, according to the MOT inspection manual (failed on small cuts from stones, where no ply or cords could be seen or felt...which is the requirement for failure! The cuts do NOT exceed the legal limits, as defined in the inspection manual).

Felt like they were looking for anything to squeeze a bit more money from me. E.g, also failed the passenger windscreen wiper (which cleared the windscreen perfectly well with rubber completely intact etc - it did not affect my view), and also failed on headlight projection, which I was charged £52 + VAT to spend a few minutes polishing just the one headlight (it really isn't a hard job using some abrasive paste on a polishing wheel to buff out the discolouration) after being told they had polished both lights, which I had to point out to the receptionist they clearly hadn't! I complained the cost to polish 1 light was extortionate, especially when they didn't even bother to clean the polish spray from all over my bonnet, bumper and wing! But was basically told tough!

In response to their reply below re diagnostics, which is the one thing I don't have any complaint about, the non-start fault (main issue) wasn't definitively identified and 'fixed'. My vehicle didn't show any symptoms of the fault whilst with them, and hasn't since. So the 'fix' was more happy coincidence, than judgement. I was offered a 'best guess' for the cause of the issue. The 2nd hand parts fitted to my vehicle aren't causing it any issues. A glow plug fault issue WAS identified and fixed (loose connection).

Needless to say, I won't be using CCM again.
I feel they (like a lot of garages) rely on customers knowing absolutely nothing about cars or motor mechanics etc, which I do.

Spent ages trying to find someone to fit a DSG clutch and flywheel turns out alot of people will not do that sort of work or quoted me cowboy prices.

CCM gave me a detailed quote and was fair considering the hours needed to fix my car.

Only thing that would had been beneficial if I was told they had a courtesy car but no drama .

I'm happy , car fixed but never buying a car with such expensive parts !

After spending 6 months researching someone to flush and replace oil and filter on my Mercedes automatic gearbox I came up with CCM and glad I did, very good service and nice friendly staff, my gearbox was getting very sluggish and now feels like a totally different car so well worth the 80 mile round trip, thank you

Brillaint independent garage. Took my Bmw today for a gearbox oil and filter change. They did a great job got on with it very quickly and had it done within an hour and a half also gave my car a complimentary wash which was great as my car was filthy would definitely recommend this garage to anyone.
