We have just completed an 8 week puppy training course with Stella of Progressive Dog Training. Stella is a very clear, patient teacher. She has an excellent understanding of dogs and their owners! She’s happy to answer any questions and will go over things as often as is needed. She has lots of tips and advice and illustrates her sessions with real life examples. We learned a lot from Stella over the duration of the course. Stella sends class notes out after every session, which is really helpful too.

Stella is absolutely lovely and has really helped me to better understand my dog in a short space of time. Stella's knowledge is second to none and she explained everything so clearly in an easy to understand way and gave practical tips to assist us in our training. Stella assisted me with my two dogs when their behaviour changed and escalated and I felt out of control and desperate for help. Stella is easy to talk to and passionate about her work, she did not judge or criticise and was able to reassure me and calm the situation. She took time to explain why dogs react in certain ways and offered excellent advice and support which enabled me to manage the situation and get back in control. My dogs have settled and are much calmer and happier. I have no hesitation in recommending Stella.

"Stella is amazing. Suri was hyperactive and had no recall at all. I was struggling to walk her, she reacted to cars passing bikes and other dogs approaching us. Our weekly sessions with Stella have made my best buddy a joy to walk now! Stella comes highly recommended and she absolutely loves her job"

This is a must have training course for any dog owner. Going into the classes I thought I knew most things already and wasn't sure how beneficial they would be. We learnt so much from the first two classes alone that it was well worth it if we'd stopped there. The training is just as much for the owners as it is for the dogs teaching you both disciplines for the dog as well as the approach for humans to take in an effective, yet fun way.

I have a working Cocker Spaniel, a high energy breed that requires a lot of training! After mixed results with previous trainers I’m delighted with the progress made so far working with Stella. My dogs recall has come on leaps and bounds and the insights she provides both in person and over email have helped give me a greater understanding of my dogs behaviour and where I’ve been going wrong. I’m looking forward to continuing the progress & I would highly recommend Stella for 1-1 training.

Stella the lady who runs Progressive Dog training is excellent.
She gives clear instructions, is not worried if you or your dog is having a difficult day and needs to go back a few steps .
Her small classes are a god send, rather than you or pup getting distracted by others, having just four in a session means you get quality time with Stella and your pup pays attention.
Would not hesitate to use Stella again and would recommend her to everyone no matter if you are training a pup or need help with an older dog.

Absolutely love Stella x I have a 3 year old working cocker, Fin, and he’s amazing. thanks to Stella as she has made me amazing along side him- we started with doing the Level 1 IMDT course and have bounced around loads of different skills; all that have enhanced Fin and my time together. No longer do I need to do long walks - we mix it up and play games and have fun x I whole heartedly recommend Stella and her positive training techniques. X And it’s not just training Fin with games, it’s the wealth of knowledge Stella has regarding dogs behaviour (we also have a Romanian Rescue) & supporting your personal concerns regarding your dogs behaviour and well-being x Sign up it will be the best thing you have ever done for you and your dog x x
