Most colleges provide barely any support, so if you're expecting someone to reach out to you when you're struggling, this is not the college for you. It's ok, a lot of the teachers are very good at their job and some of them don't know what they're doing. The english & sociology departments are very good in particular, and there is a wide selection of food in S building but nothing really anywhere else. Making students pay for landyards when they forget it is very greedy and annoying in my opinion. It doesn't have a £2 cost to print off some numbers on paper in a reused landyard! I was dissapointed when I struggled academically and instead of offering me support they basically told me to give up and choose the lowest ranked uni for a course I don't want to do instead of telling me to improve my grades. They do not offer encouragement for those struggling, but they do offer freedom. It's quite difficult to make friends as they didn't introduce students to one another and let them sit where they want so people who know nobody are pretty much left out. I didn't make any real friends the entire time. They are unorganised around exams and leave teachers to organise help and revision sessons, so it's up to your teacher whether or not to even give you exam support. It's not the worst college, but they absolutely do the bare minimum

I'm now a student at an undisclosed russel group university doing pharmacy and I can say you shouldn't go to this college if you want your child to do well, The teachers dont teach properly, are rude and uncaring to students they dont like and the level of educational support is just inadequate, most of my time learning was at home and not at this college, as if this college really didnt even teach me anything despite turning up to every lesson. I much more recommend going to beauchamp city if you want your kid to go on to get good A level grades and the support and discipline they need

A terrible sixth form. Never felt at home. This institution nearly ended my dream.
The organic chemistry teacher was racist. I wasted a year studying science subjects at QE. I went to a better sixth form: a place that has teachers that are accepting, and supportive, to students with a different background. I now have a First Class Honours Degree in Civil Engineering from a well respected University. With that said, never give up! 😉

All the teachers are friendly and gave me so much help with subjects and personal life. There is loads of resources to help with studying such as academic support to help with revising methods or help to write a CV. Im going to miss this place and all the people.

The experience we had with the College was very bad. Initially when we went there to enroll the College was very disorganised and there wasn't any proper signs showing where to go. When we managed to get to where we were meant to go, we met with a lady we believe was the Deputy Principal of the school. The lady was old lady with narrow thinking and she started attacking the student who wanted to enroll and without proper explanation she screamed from her lungs that he doesn't belong to her college and that they don't take his kind. From what I gathered the College discriminate on black and all other minority groups except asians and white.

Overall, my view of QE is that it is above average. I believe this due to the constant support and help that is provided by my tutors, helping me to achieve my goals and to be on course for the university degree that I want to go on to. The student executive is very helpful for voicing my opinions, and that they have taken issues and had them solved, for example, the lack of a decent connection to the wifi.

If you are planning to go to this college do not pick sciences, because 1 of my a level choices was in-fact biology,the teacher had taught us for about the first 2 months, after this she had left and we had no teacher for the rest of the academic year.Sure we had substitutes but these teachers did not look qualified to teach a level biology as they just told us to read the text book or theyd just scroll through slides,infact for 2 terms we had no teacher.we were far behind the rest of the year who were doing biology and after many complaints they had done nothing and just kept coming with new random substitutes.Until they managed to get a actual teacher to make us catch up on 2 terms worth of work 2 weeks following the mocks that determine our predicted grades for ucas.Hate the college!The food is disgusting and overpriced, they make you pay £2 for forgetting your lanyard.Your not even paying for a new one your paying for a lanyard you have to give back at the end of the day! Oh

The place has changed for people who have difficulties in learning which I believe is a good step to begin with , the appearance of the place from the outside looks amazing but the inside looks very depressing as no one talks in the hall way and the Fact that the place is ALL GREY such as THE CARPETS does not help in making the person feel stress free and very inviting as the place is full of dull colours like MOSTLY GREY , I get it they r trying to look all professional but care for the appearance at least
