I have worked with James for over 6 years when I was involved in an accident and suffered both physically and mentally.
My journey has been bumpy and it’s been great having James there to support me in reaching my physical goals.

He is extremely calm, kind and considered, knowing exactly when to push that little bit out of me, but also astute enough to know when to pull back or indeed just ‘leave me alone’ if I mentioned my mood is low.

The majority of my work with James has been remotely at home via his app, needing very little equipment. With his personalised programmes I reached a weight, and muscle gain that I never thought was possible for a guy in his early 40s.

I can’t recommend James enough for anyone who has never used a PT before, like I hadn’t.

His knowledge on nutrition and injury is great and I would not be as happy as I am with my body now if it were not for him!

James is super-focused on precision training, more than any personal trainer I have had before. He directs me to adjust my movements by even tiny amounts which makes enormous difference in the results. He is also focused on lifestyle changes that would assist achieving my goals. He is a joy to work with. I have found that my muscle tone has increased, I have better posture and I am more motivated to exercise.

Every workout is super-tailored to your needs at the time and he is able to adapt on the spot to suit you if needed. Alongside all this he’s such a great guy who instantly makes you feel comfortable. James is so fab! I’ve been going to his classes for a couple of years now and have seen a massive difference in myself - lost weight, toned, much fitter and stronger. I do the same classes every week but James always makes them varied so they aren’t repetitive and so they challenge me in different ways - I’m always learning new exercises that I can then use in my own time. He knows which exercises I also find super difficult but doesn’t let me slack or shy away from them which has in time made me start to enjoy them and improve loads. He makes sure to correct my form when I’m fatigued to avoid injury and always checks in re. past injuries to make sure I’m not overdoing it. He is also super helpful for tips on diet and nutrition and encourages me to work out in a healthy and sustainable way which I always feel much better for. James is so friendly and approachable that getting up super early doesn’t feel like a chore and you look forward to your workout and catch up / chat in the morning - it wakes you up and puts you in such a good mood for the rest of the day 🙂 he is honestly the best and I would HUGELY recommend him to everyone and anyone!

James is the rare personal trainer who is able to instil extrinsic but also intrinsic motivation into his pupils. He is affable, courteous, and dependable - and always attentive on not only his pupils’ exercise form, but also their enjoyment of a session. He leverages his personal training background and multifaceted clientele to craft sessions which are backed by science but also easy to understand and repeat on one’s own. Would definitely recommend
