I recently visited Vue Cramlington and had a very disappointing experience. My friends and I went to order some popcorn before our movie started, but we were abruptly told that they were not serving popcorn at the time. This was frustrating, as we were expecting the usual cinema experience, complete with snacks.

However, as we made our way to the cinema room, we noticed a couple walking in with popcorn, drinks, and other snacks from the cinema. This immediately seemed unfair and confusing, especially considering we had been told that popcorn was unavailable to us. The inconsistency in service felt off, and to be honest, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something discriminatory at play.

I understand that businesses sometimes have policies in place for operational reasons, but the way this situation unfolded left me feeling uncomfortable. It seemed as though certain customers were being treated differently for no clear reason. I'm disappointed that such a simple experience at Vue Cramlington turned into something so frustrating. This situation definitely needs to be addressed to ensure fairness and equality for all customers.

Great cinema. Been a few times with my daughter, most recently this morning (16.2.25) although i bought tickets online there was an issue and this hadmt completed. The staff were all very helpful in getting this resolved which meant i had a happy daughter who got to enjoy the snail on the whale. Im sure we'll have more trips here

First visit and probably the last. Arrived for the 2.50pm showing of Wild Robot, 30/10/24. Despite the cinema being largely empty and only one family ahead of us for confectionary sale (3 more joined behind us) there was only one member of staff serving and it took her precisely 20 minutes to serve one family, so we're stood around twiddling our thumbs! Finally another staff member appeared, and being on a budget for the day we ordered the Kids Combo £3.99 and a "junior combo" £5.69. Clearly clueless teenager rings up the total and it comes to £18. I said "poster over there says it's £5 something" she said she'd never heard a Junior Combo in the year she's worked there - so why did you take the order you airhead?! I said out loud this was turning into the worst experience ever, she completely ignored the comment and rather than reminding me the deal I was talking about was a "Snack Combo" she offered zero additional information or customer service. So in the end I said we'll just take the Kids Combo on its own as surely we're missing the start of the movie by now. She then proceeds to bring us the wrong drink and dizzy about for 5 minites looking like a deer in headlights. I pick my hand up from the counter to find my hand had been in chewing gum! Couldn't make up the astrosiouly bad standards and you wonder why the cinema is mostly empty/struggling? Next time I'll save myself the bother and watch a movie at home!

Lovely cinema with really friendly staff however, queue times can be a joke, they’ll have one staff member serving 20people whilst a group of them stand in the corner chatting. Other than that, love it!

Cinema itself is fine, unfortunately it was very cold, didn't feel like there was any heating on. This did spoil it for us.

Thought I would try out this Vue as I have been to Vue in gatehead 50+ times. I was shocked at the state of the cinema. Had to sit on some seat condo*, as I cannot describe it as anything else. Kept sliding on my seat as it is so silky. In both cups by my sides I had spilled drinks and rubbish. I arrived 25 minutes before the movie, so there was plenty of time for staff to clean up. I get that it is £5 per ticket, but I rather pay more and not feel as I need to take a shower after I have been to the cinema.

Great location surrounded by fantastic bars such as " the venue " with respectful clientele, open for beautiful food, pleasant staff, etc And if you're not watching movies, you can watch the football and probably the best big screen around.
Back to the Vue.... It's full size cinema screens and friendly staff are what this area of town is all about. Pleasant, relaxing and fun night out... without the unpleasant extremities you'll find elsewhere.
