If our accommodations when we were at university in the 50s had been like this, we would have been delighted. Fast forward 65 years, and our expectations were not really met by Holland Hall.
The positives first: the strength of this place is its staff. They are superb: smiling cheerfully, obliging, helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. Second: the location on a hillside at height. A walk round the campus in the immediate area is like a visit to a celebrated parkland. Third, the full breakfast is generous and uses good ingredients: the servers are like the office staff in warmth and kindness, especially Yuen.
Now, the negatives. The room was tiny, clean but absolutely basic. No tv, a space where there used to be a fridge and a bathroom with small curtained shower, no bath-mat and a minute wall-attached cupboard. Everything was cheap and just a bit off-putting. Charging just under £100.00 per night, it was grossly over-priced. The only rationale for staying here would be to attend an event on campus.

Good quality, basic low frills B&B accommodation, Quiet, clean safe, double bed, excellent full breakfast service in panoramic dining room. One star docked because I had a ground floor room at the back of E block with just a wooded bank for a view and hence very dark. It is at the top of a hill so a bit of a slog if you are on foot.

Clean. Small. Beautiful surroundings but steep hill to climb. Could do with bar being open more. Great Wetherspoons nearby though.

Stayed as a visitor to an external conference. Didn't know what to expect before I arrived. Basic room, but very clean and quiet. Kettle and fridge is useful. Tea and coffee provided and decaffeinated. Only downside is just a tiny shower. Water goes everywhere in room. Other than that, ideal location for events in campus.. nice views. 20 min walk from city centre.

I would say that this is the best student accommodation on Streatham campus.stayed here for four months and loved it. I was in a self catered studio flat so had full privacy. The Studio was large with a double bed, wardrobe , shelves table and chairs and a safe. The kitchen has a separate decent size freezer. They also provide a hoover, mop and bucket and garbage bags for the kitchen bin.You don't get a bathroom here but a wet room and the water temperature is automatically set by the maintenance team so it's either boiling hot or freezing cold. The studio has a balcony but has a restrictor in place which renders it useless. One important thing to mention is that maintenance personnel loves to enter rooms unannounced and at any time of day so you always need to be dressed appropriately as they're all men. There's also this obsession with fire on campus so the fire alarm goes off each week or whenever you cook and smoke reaches it or someone hits it for fun. All in all, considering that this is a student accommodation it is the best you can get, expect and hope for on campus.

Reasonably priced with spectacular view. Full English Breakfast included. Nice staff. Only minus is that the beds are a bit hard. Overall an enjoyable stay.
