really lovely university, only in my first year but have been enjoying every bit of it so far. lots of clubs and societies, and a good variety of courses and modules, with helpful staff to ensure you have a good time and are able to do everything you need/wish to!
there’s a campus gym, and a sports centre as well as pitches over at duncreggan.
the buildings are nice and close together, although being on a hill can make going through the campus a bit tiring sometimes

Beautiful uni and really kind people.. they genuinely care about everything. They make sure you are alright. Only negative is directions to various departments are a bit vague and the library people are of no help. They do try to help with a printed directions if u are there for an exam but finding them is task 1. The campus is at walking distance from the small town and roads are bit steep

The course director mairin nicell and the Computer science team are shameless. worked my backside off on my final year project, come the day of my presentation the schools complex wifi system wouldnt let me connect and so i couldnt show off my app. Shockingly the team wouldnt give me naother chance to present EVEN THOUGH they were holding extra presentations for people who were late in presenting. they rejected me all hte same MULTIPLE TIMES. still managed to get a first despite their best efforts. shame on them.

At the start it was alright and then at the graduation ceremony after years of part-time lectures I experienced the underlying religious bigotry - from some quarters, this was callously set up hy the university authorities as the attack came from a stranger siting next to me whom I had never met before- at a university!!!!! - are we back in the bad old days? More ineffectual than intellectual. Also some lecturers were using their lecture to make, (republican!) political points directed specifically at me - were they educated in Saint columbs college under John Hume? ( going as high up as the head of the department, this would not be tolerated in a normal country) This university did not enhance my employment prospects or improve my character in any way, I am sorry I ever went there.
