We stayed overnight Christmas day. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The staff on reception were friendly, helpful and efficient. The heating was the right temperature and the bed and pillows were really comfortable.

The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpfully. She saved me on the last minute booking after midnight. If I'm seen it right, her name was Emily. Thank you so much!!! Looking forward to book it in again. Free parking it's extremely helpfully. Looking forward spend the night in this hotel ?

Good location, good eateries nearby. Pleasant staff, quiet location. Door cards not working for the first day for anyone had to wait around for staff to walk us to room to let us in but was not on reception at times. We both found bed very uncomfortable and shower little power to shower comfortably. Strip at foot of bathroom door had hairs stuck on it. No hair dryer in rooms.

Amber at the front desk was friendly and helpful, which was a nice welcome after a long drive. The room was clean quiet and warm. I like a travelodge- no matter where you are in the UK you know you are going to get a perfectly pleasant experience.

The service was good. The location suited me as I wanted to get on the road south early in the morning.
The room and ensuite were perfectly clean.

I was given room no. 1 which meant I had the noise of people coming in from reception and people walking past my window regularly.

There should be something opaque on the window so you can still let day light in without having to worry about people looking in when walking past. Obviously I could shut the curtains but I wanted daylight while it was still there.

Anyway all that was fine my main issue was the beds were really narrow and the damp smell. It was a twin, so two single beds, from their size I almost thought they were for children.

The room smelled of damp. I don't think there was a smell of damp in the bathroom. I don't know where it was coming from, maybe the carpet. Everything looked clean and well maintained, but the damp smell is why I've put a score of 3 stars.

This was our third visit to this Travelodge (due to house hunting around the area) and noise from other rooms seem to get louder each time (maybe cos last two times we were down stairs and not upstairs - like the first time) Room was reasonable clean, two mugs though for 3 adults, room was over warm due to not being able to turn heating down below 16 (should have just turned it off) . The very downside is the noise from fellow stayers, doors constantly banging (even though they have soft closers on them) running up and down the corridors, people dont seem to care about others trying to rest anymore. The area the hotel is in is on a large housing development with several very close by - within walking distance food outlets (burger king, papa johns, costa, greggs......) Hotel ok, noisy guests spoil it

Nice hotel, just a few things let it down. Hand soap was empty, no toilet roll and kettle was dirty. Staff very helpful and swiftly corrected so thank you

Room was cheap, relatively clean and bed was comfy enough. No key was issued until second night, so staff had to let us in each time as apparently pc was down? Room was FREEZING, as heating doesn't work most of the rooms? portable heater was provided but hard to regulate, so room went from too hot to too cold. When we went back for second evening we noticed a bag with some of our belongings had disappeared. So was either stolen or thrown away, but it was left on the table, not on the floor, just lucky that the contents were not too valuable, but that really isn't the point is it? Team member offered to call the police, and she said "Our cleaner wouldn't nick" Not really an option for a bag with contents of around 20 quid, police have better things to do.
