I have been working with Matt for about 2-3 months now and I am very impressed! Not only have I started loosing weight but my strength is consistently improving as well. My knees are also pain free after years of pain due to injuries.

Matt is very knowledgeable and takes genuine interest in your health and well being. He prepared an excellent workout plan for me that helps me loose weight while rehabbing my knees and he also did a great diet plan that suits my dietary requirements. Highly recommended!!!!

I’ve been working with Matt for 10 weeks now (2 sessions a week). The change in my body has been impressive; I’ve lost weight, I am stronger and I am leaner. An added bonus is I feel my confidence coming back. Update 2023: thanks to my continued strength work with Matt I have managed to improve my 5k time by 10%!! This year we focussed on leg and core strength and he tailored our sessions to improving my strength for running.

2022- I had been trying and failing to tone up for a few years after the birth of my second child. I wasn’t unfit because I’m a keen runner and I already exercised several times a week; but my post-baby muffin top looked like it was going to be a permanent feature. I started with Matt twice a week until I felt confident enough to manage one of the sessions solo at the gym.
I have never been a gym goer and had always felt a slight feeling of panic when walking in and looking at the different machines and weights… not knowing what to do or how to do it. Matt gave me the confidence to plan a session and then actually do it.
Over the 5 months I trained with Matt I saw my muffin top disappear, my arms tone up and most importantly for me… my running and cycling speed improved as I was feeling stronger than ever. I now just check in with Matt every couple of months to freshen up exercises and see what’s working or needs changing. I recommend Matt as a coach and trainer.

Where do I start? Matt is determined for you to achieve your goal, he’ll work round niggling injuries, suggest diet plans to work with your exercise plans, his gentle encouragement makes you want to improve and achieve. I thought ‘I’ll hire a personal trainer’ and would lose interest after a few weeks - still with Matt 5 months on - never boring, never repetitive, I just love the tailor made workouts and never being made to feel ‘fat and useless’! I totally lacked confidence in engaging with a personal trainer as felt you needed to be at least half fit before your started but it’s really not the case!

I’ve been seeing Matt for 6 months so far. One of my goals was to improve strength, especially around joints that are weaker due to rheumatoid arthritis. He’s really taken that into account with how we train and tailored the programme just for me - perfectly paced, gradually increasing the increments - which is where I’ve gone wrong in the past. He also did loads of research on training for people with weak knees to help build our routine. I’m really pleased with the results so far and I’d recommend to anyone, regardless of what your training goals are.

Matt is really professional and considerate. He won’t rush you or make you feel pressured about your training needs. He is laser focussed on your individual requirements and at a pace that is comfortable for you. He will motivate you to achieve the results you want and help you realise the those results. The exercises he does recommend and oversee are geared towards personal health and fitness levels at any level, from total novice to professional and also takes into consideration any health concerns or issues that are affecting you. He prioritises your health and will ensure that all exercises are appropriate and within your comfort zone. The changes he makes are lasting and will continue to impact you positively as he will also educate you about what the exercises are doing and why they are effective. This means that your self awareness is increased at the same time. Overall he is a fantastic trainer that will consider your personal level of fitness and tailor a plan to meet your needs and get the best result for you. Cannot recommend highly enough.
