I absolutely LOVE attending Spanish class each week and have learned so much in only a short time!!! Joan is an amazing teacher and he is fun, engaging and knowledgeable about Spanish culture and the language. I’m so glad I decided to sign up and it’s worth every penny in my opinion. I’ve also met some really lovely people in the class because it’s a friendly, encouraging atmosphere. 😁😁😁

Great language school. Super friendly and easy to get into. I studied Spanish and found the instructor Joan was really great. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Super encouraging. I really enjoyed my time at The Modern Language School and would highly recommend it.

I have attended the beginners class this year. It is absolutely brilliant. For me, mixing learning a new language in a professional but non pressurised environment is perfect. I feel I can learn at my own pace making the class extremely enjoyable. Joan, our qualified teacher is amazing, moving the lessons forward at a pace adapting to the needs and speed of learning of the students. I would definitely recommend this school. 5 stars!

I did the beginners Spanish class last year, only intending to do the year. However I’ve just started another year because the classes are so enjoyable. Joan is such a helpful and enthusiastic teacher who really goes the extra mile to make sure you’ve understood. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you!

I have been studying Italian at the Modern Language School for a year now. Vicky has made it a great class to be part of. From knowing no Italian at the start of the school year, I really have progressed with Vicky through books, videos, interactive work within the class and speaking. It's a really fun class so you aren't scared of making mistakes in front of anyone. It's a half hour drive for me to get here on an evening but it's always worth it. Getting ready to sign up for year 2. Would definitely recommend the school, whichever language you are hoping to learn.

I'm just starting the second year of Spanish with Joan, having start as a complete beginner. The classes are a friendly and supportive place to learn, with a mix of listening, speaking and reading with a few games mixed in for fun... So much better than any language app!

I thoroughly enjoy my Spanish classes at the Modern Language School. Lynne offers a mix of teaching styles which make the classes interesting and informative and most importantly of all fun!! The school itself is well equipped for both classes on site and also via zoom. There is plenty of parking and facilities for refreshment breaks. All in all a fantastic place to learn languages.
