Learning English is never too late.

I’m 29 years old, and when I first started learning English, I felt frustrated because everyone seemed better than me at communicating. However, thanks to John and all the teachers involved in the program, as well as the rich and engaging weekly social activities organized by Shonie (including visits, tours, games, and sports events), I felt fully supported by the entire staff.

On the first day, they told me that ELC is like a family, and I can definitely confirm this. They were available 24/7 for any questions or support, even outside of school.

The accommodation was great, close to both the school and the city center.
But the most important part for me was the lesson program. The teachers are amazing clear in their explanations, success-driven, and truly care about your progress. They know how to push you in a fun and easygoing way.

Particullary i have to thank: Pam, Harry and Ginnie who were my main teachers in the IELTS class 🙂

To sum up, it was an unforgettable experience. All of my siblings and cousins have attended ELC, and we are all pleased and grateful for this important step in our journey.

I loved my time at ELC! I went there for 13 weeks with the goal to improve my English and feel more comfortable when speaking the language and I can say that I achieved both my goals. I couldn’t have asked for better teachers and I made so many friends a long the way. I’m hoping to return to Bristol and perhaps visit the school some day. It was a really cool experience that I would recommend to anyone. You really grow as a person.

ELC Bristol is a fantastic school. I've learnt more in 4 weeks than in the last 2 years back at home. The teachers and the staff are super kind and they will help you with anything. You'll meet tons of nice people, make new friends from all over the world and get a feeling for the language. I recommend this school to anyone who's interested in improving their English or is thinking of taking the Cambridge exam. Plus, Bristol is a great student city with a lot of activities and nightlife. Adding to that, the school also offers nice after school activities for you to join in, so you'll get to know the people on another level.

During my 4 months at ELC, I learned a lot and had a great time. The teaching quality was far superior to the lessons I experienced at schools in my home country. The teachers were friendly, fun to talk to, highly motivating, and always attentive to students' opinions. They quickly adapted their methods to meet our needs.

Some friends who transferred from other schools to ELC mentioned that they found it to be much better. The activities they organized were mostly enjoyable.
When I moved into a share house not managed by ELC, the staff at the school offered great advice and support, so I didn’t encounter any problems.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with the school. I would definitely recommend it to others.
