I enjoy stay and eeting some locals, as visiting professor of tribal studies. Wonderful Cowley Road with bushmeat restaurants and many ladies just a spear-throw away and I thank you! Plenty of beauty in the college, and the river walks on Charwell are good. It is built by Danish man and not old.||Signed Cyril Malwesi, Village Elder

Me and my colleagues stayed at the college as visiting PhD students for the attendance of a summer school. The college is really nice and beautiful, well organized, a lot of green areas, ponds, etc. Buildings dedicated to conference hall and meetings are great. The rooms are quite cozy, especially the newer ones; instead, in teh 'old' rooms the facilities are a bit uncomfortable, especially in the bathroom with a short and fixed shower dispenser, with the impossibility to control both the water jet and temperature. All in all, we had a nice experience! People were kind and nice to us. Really enjoyed being at St.Catz

I went to a formal here once and it was singularly the most awful experience of my life. As I arrived I was met with this ghastly dystopian cathedral of herculean proportions (which appeared as if it had stepped out of the discarded set ideas from Star Wars). To complement the aesthetic of brutalistic religious establishment was a group of hooded figures huddled around a small table at the far end. Not a gown was to be seen, however, as this was no meat Monday with a first course of cheesy nachos in a plastic bowl. As if to make up for the shocking informality of this formal the main course preceeded to be a meat free burrito on a plastic plate filled with a disturbingly unidentifiable substance.
It was at this point that the lights in the Death Star were all extinguished. We sat in tense anticipation, thinking perhaps this was part of an exciting surprise- but after ten long minutes we heard a muffled voice emerge from the void.
'I'm really sorry but we can't see so we can't serve pudding!'
There had been a power cut, or as they call it at Catz, Monday night's most popular JCR event. We were swiftly ushered out into the darkness of the night, never to return.

This is review is a rating based on the grounds of the college itself. Not in reflection to the teaching or education. Had a great time exploring the grounds. Go when the water has resided, the nearby Cherwell River causes flooding.

Charming college alongside the Cherwell river and meadows on the other side. Now largest Oxf college. 10 minute walk from Eastern end of the High St (drop off by Oxf Tube from Victoria)
