ATROCIOUS RECEPTION AND SECURITY MAN

Visited this site for first time
on 29TH.Oct 2024 but was met throughout that day by unprofessional hostile and disrespectful security officer and two reception females.
Security officer laughed loudly mockingly at me witnessed by other visitors when I introduced myself and reason for my attendance.
The two reception females were equally mocking and aggressively combative eyeballing me tutting loudly at me and acted as though I was inconveniencing them by attending college to learn.
Same two females then continued their hostility when they were leaving the building when they saw me talking to someone outside the building by staring aggressively dismissively at me as though they wanted to hit me physically.

I am not impressed by this site and staff behaviour as I felt and still feel humiliated ashamed bullied angry victimised.
It was unapologetically and deliberately hostile and unprofessional .
Reviews rules insist on starring reviews when I do not want to star this college at all due to their unprofessionalism.

I had a great experience studying at STCG! The college provides excellent teaching and great work/class environment. I gained my emergency first aid at work, door supervisor and cctv operator qualification at the tooting branch over the past year.The tutor AJ who is extremely professional at his craft provided each student with individual attention to try and make sure they obtain their door supervisor/cctv qualification. AJ encouraged and pushed us to work to our full potential and kept us motivated with his humour. Christine East, who taught emergency first aid at work was professional, knowledgeable and patient in her delivery to me and fellow students. Shahanara, one of the administrator's at STCG, has also been very helpful, down to earth and supportive during the application process and any general enquiries I had. For anyone reading this if you have any general enquiries etc regarding the courses at the Tooting branch, ask for Shahanara!! Lovely lady.

Hi all. My name is Bibi. I have a wonderful time in studying at South Thames College. I started off from level 2 English. I am now doing Maths Gcse . I have immense respect for the teachers. They were: Jenny, Victoria, Louise, Irena, Jason and Stephen. They were all very supportive, helpful and they always encouraged me to do my best. This is my final year in this college. It was an amazing experience.

Throughout my Dental Nursing course in Tooting campus I haven't had any issues at all...
I found all the staff to be very helpful and the tutor Ms Michele Lalsee is the best you can get! I have never had such professional and helpful tutor like her before. Pleased to recommend this college for Dental Nursing course.

Media Makeup department needs help. Original teacher left without warning or notice. Next teacher Raquel is very thorough with her work but i hate to say this but she often got overwhelmed with the amount of work. Teaching level 1 and 2 and signing ppl off. She needed help for sure. The whole department is disorganized and lack communication. Assignments often were misplaced and not signed on time. No structure throughout the course. You would assume the unit you are doing and how to do it. No proper teaching. A very lazy and laid back attitude to students. Get teachers who are passionate about teaching in the future. Many thanks to amberine and raquel for trying their best.

The 5 stars is for the facilities and cafe at the time I did an NVQ a good few years ago to add to my office skills, which did help!

Now during this lockdown it is difficult to say how it will affect class size and facilities.

However, the class size in 2002 (approx) were small and the computer facilities were modern at the time and easily accessible.

With the current times (April 2020), how this affects the courses available will depend on how long it will take before the system can revert back to normal. It may take 2 years or more.

I was attending Iyengar Yoga class and lost my engagement and wedding rings, leaving them behind in the sports studio.
The next day I went to the college in a frail hope of finding it. What a relieving surprise it was to meet the lovely lady at the Security that had my rings found and neatly packed in an envelope. She asked me to describe the rings making sure I was their genuine owner. And I filled the form confirming that I have collected them.
What an organised honest people work there! Thank you guys! Keep it up, people like you change the world for better.
