Excellent cruise. Clean ship, plenty of space even though very busy. Good snacks and drinks. Sandwich was excellent. Beautiful fresh bread, plenty of tasty filling. The commentary was never dull, plenty of well timed jokes, with interesting information on the side. Very informative safety awareness on boarding and alighting. Crew were friendly, helpful and kept the areas clean throughout the trip. Well worth a couple of hours of your time........

We booked to go on a trip via our holiday coach driver , was really excited and looking forward to it , paid 90.00 for 3 adult tickets...for a trip over Solent to see the naval dock yard and was promised a running commentary of the coastline of the isle of wight .. we got up last wed to fi d the coast covered in thick fog. Upon arriving in Cowes to get on the boat , we honestly thought we would be offered a refund ..because it was obviously plan that you couldn't see the coast line from the boat, I realise no one can control,the weather..... but it was to prove a disasters of sorts from the beginning. Firstly the actual commentator was poor . You could hardly hear anything ge said ... system was very poor. Then luckily as we got I to naval yard we managed to see a few vessels. The refreshments were very poor and Omg the toilets were filthy , the wash hand basins look like they hadn't had a clean for months. So I was very disappointed as you can imagine. They should of at least offered a partial refund ...as what we paid for we didn't get . from a very disappointed customer....

We organised a private tour of the historic dockyard with Solent Cruises. They were so helpful with the booking process (unlike the others we tried). On the day the crew were waiting for us, everything was ready. We had a very informative tour of the dockyard. A most interesting afternoon appreciated by all. Thank you.

Found out late about this cruise and got quite excited about it, as I love to be on the water, so I can photograph some ships/boats , so our party of four booked tickets.
Straight from the off the staff ( crew) made us feel at home, no question went unanswered and the overall banter and chat was totally amazing making us all enjoy the experience.
The whole tour was amazing and we were kept up to date with details of what we were passing, all the history and stories as well as our own on-board stand up captain, he was brilliant, as were the rest of the crew, all my mates now.
Also I got some great photos, of some great ships, all 254 of them, I'm sure we will be returning to the Isle of Wight and when we do Solent Cruises will be top of our list for things to do.
Don't miss out do a cruise you really won't be disappointed.

I took the Portsmouth Harbour tour with my son who is a wheelchair user. From booking office to boarding and disembarking the Ali Cat the Solent Cruises staff could not have been more helpful. These boats may not have originally been designed for wheelchair access but the staff made sure we had a stress-free experience.
The tour itself is very interesting with lots of information shared about the history and various uses of the parts of the harbour.

Fantastic sightseeing cruise. Friendly professional staff, great facilities on board and an absolutely fantastic commentary by Capt Mark. Highly recommend was worth every penny.
