We stayed at slad farm back in July as I had my veterinary exams at Hartpury College. The location was perfect for us and slad farm was amazing. It's a family run business although as soon as you arrive you are made to feel at home, definitely a home from home. The rooms where spacious and very clean with an en suit. Janet our host was amazing she couldn't do enough for us, definitely put me at ease when i was stressing over my exam and sorting how I'd get to the college, she ensured we got there and back. breakfast is fitted around you, which was also faultless. I would definitely recommend slad farm to anybody staying in Gloucester, has that personal touch which you don't get with big hotel chains.

We stayed at Slad Farm for two nights and had the most wonderful welcome. Janet, the proprietor, met us at the door and took us into a beautiful conservatory where she gave us home made scones and cake and a pot of tea before showing us to our lovely rooms. Our en suite room was lovely, with tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water provided, however the couple we went with also had a lovely room but with no en suite, although the bathroom was right outside their door. We had a fantastic breakfast in the mornings with home made bread and in the evening had our very own lounge to watch tv when we came back, we were also given tea and coffee before we went up. They have two lovely friendly labradors who were adorable and who greeted us like old friends. I would highly recommend staying here as it was such a pretty place with lovely hosts. The only downside was there were no street lights and so it was very difficult to see where you were if you were going out at night as it was right out in the countryside. Although it wasnt too far to Tewkesbury and the Malvern Hills and lots of other attractions.

The venue was outstanding - so friendly and welcoming. The room was so comfortable and the tea/coffee provided covered all eventualities. Our hosts were very knowledgeable of the surrounding area, that we had loads to do. Their dogs were so friendly, but never an intrusion. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

On arrival we were greeted by 2 beautiful golden labs , both eager to say hello and have a belly rub. |Janet took us in to the conservatory and gave us T and home made cake. Yum yum. |What a lovely lady. |We were taken up to our beautiful room with roll top bath ensuite . |We then asked Janet the best place to eat, that wasn't too expensive. |She knew all about the area and guided us in the right direction. |After a fantastic nights sleep|We had great freshly cooked breakfast. Janet even remembered I drink decaf T. |Thank you so much. We'll be back.

We stayed here for a lovely and peaceful night after eating at the local Butcher Arms ||Janet the owner is very welcoming and was on hand when we arrived ||she present us all with tea and homemade cake a lovely touch.||showed us to our rooms which are lovely||We had the one with the Bathtub which is very nicely laid out ||My only issue is that the Shower is woefully low pressured so a bath is really the only option.||we came back quite late and had some drinks before heading off to bed||Breakfast was very nice, cooked by our host Janet||i would highly recommend a stay here
