I just finished the June 2024 Game Engine Boot Camp, and I have to say, I loved every bit of it. It wasn’t just about learning Unity and Unreal Engine – I got a lot more from it, like support for freelancing and guidance on finding a job.

I was also lucky enough to qualify for a paid internship for three months, which is amazing. On top of that, I qualified for an Unity certification voucher, which is a big help for my career.

I’m super thankful to Jonathan, Ivo, and Amira for all their help throughout the boot camp. They were always there to support me and helped me get ready for my next step in the industry.

Thank you so much for everything, especially at a time when the game industry is going through tough times. I’m really excited for what’s next!

It is not fair to provide a career fair for students at a university and only offer students who have been in the UK for 3 years a chance to apply, as an international student I miss the program being free if I wait 3 years to apply, if this is made available for BNU students then all students should be allowed to participate regardless of years spent in the country.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Skills City. Their lack of communication and disregard for student circumstances is unacceptable. Promises for support were not met, and my serious health concerns were overlooked, causing significant stress and hindrance to my learning experience. It's disheartening to see an educational institution fail to uphold basic commitments to its students. Definitely not what I expected from a government-funded program.

Skills City is an incredible programme that runs over 12-14 weeks. Cloud security for me. The team are super helpful, knowledgeable and very resourceful. You just have to ask them and they go above and beyond to help you

Career support Co-ordinator's mostly keeps postponing and cancelling meetings with students.

These are only online courses, but anyone who passes can go to the Manchester HQ - presumably to collect their certificate in person. They have updated the website to make type of course clearer.
