I used to give ShopTo five stars, because they offer great value for money. However, recently they refuse to verify my new credit card or debit card. My bank happily verifies it on my phone, but the ShopTo website returns an error. Customer Support aren't interested. So, I'm forced to use PayPal. ShopTo is the only company I've used, in the whole world, that refuses to let me use my credit/debit card. For this, they lose a star.

I've used shopto for years for both digital and physical, but this is the first time I've had to create a return. I ordered the wrong game.
Reasonably returns are only accepted unopened and you must pay postage.
That's where reasonable ends.
The process is to open a ticket on their website to request a return.
Then use the ticket number as authorisation.
Then fill in the form they email to you and also send them a picture proving the item is unopened.
Then the item must be sent by a tracked method.
Then you must track when the item is returned and open a new ticket to tell them they have received it.
Then wait up to five days for a refund.
That would be bad enough, but after 5 days waiting my product has not been refunded, and I'm having to contact them again. The icing on the cake--the ticket system has vanished from their website (not sure if temporary) so having to phone and wait on hold.
This is literally the most convoluted returns process I've ever used, and so I won't be ordering again. Shame--as I was hoping to use a specialist retailer rather than the obvious global alternative.

I guess I could of waited for a slightly better deal. But I got a PSN gift card with a discount, that I used to get my PS+ during a sale to save a little more.
I was hesitant, I have heard mixed things about such sites, but my code was in the digital download section, which i was linked to from the Thank you for purchasing page.
Inserted code and it worked without issue.
Will use again. If you are worried, purchase through PayPal.
