This is the college to go to. They support you in all aspects you wouldn’t even imagine. Especially single mother’s. There’s programs to help you so that your college experience isn’t hard due to life circumstances. The professors are kind and make learning fun. There’s so many different kinds of clubs and groups you can be apart of and fun events they also throw. The food is even good. Plus there’s Starbucks here on the campus. The money that’s going into this college is well spent I tell you that and really goes to make sure all students have a wonderful experience and getting to whatever goal they are going for. 10 out of 10.

Nestled amid stately oaks and lush landscaping, Sacramento City College is characterized by a welcoming, scholarly atmosphere. The well-designed grounds and buildings have amazing architectural details that are easy to miss, but delight the eye and make it an interesting place to spend time and study. It's a beautiful campus and a rich resource for students. Oh, and there are some very friendly squirrels here too!

Five star California

Spent 5 semesters here. I had a great time and never had a problem with any of the students or staff. With the exception of one English professor who is not great at teaching in my opinion. I feel that the programs and counselors (Ken in particular) really did a great job of setting me up with a solid plan to take the classes I needed in order to transfer to a university.

Two-year community college that is historic - wonderful campus that looks like a college should. Lots of support programs for students at an affordable institution that has vocational and academic programs for those who want to start a career or transfer to a university - they have transfer agreements with multiple well know universities and colleges.

I transferred to here after graduating from SAVA Charter High, and I shouldn't have done that. There's a lot of drama along the students. The acamenic programs aren't effective. My friend is being mistreated by one of the music professors. I got mistreated by my boxing coach when I did boxing. I got kicked out of choir and the college commercial music band for not being a good singer. Their finical aid is such a pain to deal to with. The only thing is that I had some good friends from that college.

I’m currently singing with Dr Daniel Paulson and the SCC college performance choir .
It’s a great way to participate in community and SING.
DR Paulson is an amazing teacher.
He is doing a tribute choral event honoring the late Doreen Irwin my previous choral director.

We are singing Faures’ Requiem and a ton of Doreen s original choral works

One can join every semester and learn to sing !

Annalisa Ching

I took most of my classes here. I had only 2 very bad professors (Alex May and another who was an older White guy who teaches/taught Math), and the rest were good to stellar. The only thing that frustrated me is that the Advising and Counseling Centers almost never answered their phones or emails if I had academic-related questions; I always had to physically go to talk to an advisor just to get a simple academic question answered (luckily I lived pretty close). They also didn't take appointments sometimes, so it was usually first come first serve, which meant you might not see someone for hours. Also, parking sucked as this school was overcrowded. Still, I loved the diversity of the student body and staff, and the many class options they offered. I got my AA degree from them earlier this year!
