There is little I can add to what has been written about Debbie, borrowing from a Biblical expression, she has The patience of Job coupled with a great sense of humour. With a large number of players Debbie needs excellent Supervisors to assist. Liz, Charlotte and Jean, together with the occasional instructor, fill that role admirably in keeping the show on the road. Simon.

This teaching club, led by Debbie Winterbourne, is a really enjoyable and fun way to learn and play bridge. Classes are well taught by Debbie and her network of experienced guest teachers and there is plenty of opportunity to practise what has been learned. There is a friendly atmosphere too which makes it easy for players to come without partners. It is testament to the club’s popularity that players travel from north and east london as well as from areas in south east london. I highly recommend it.

I learned to play bridge here.
I find it mentally challenging, sociable and stimulating.
Debbie and the other advisors are experienced and clear. Lessons are good. There is a new topic, and then we play - ready prepared games. Booklets help to consolidate the sessions.
The Quantum club is sociable and enjoyable. It’s held in the Quaker House, which is in Blackheath village, two minutes from the station. Call Debbie if you have any questions.
