Our son has attended Post19 for the past 5 years since moving on from special needs schooling and we have to say his experience has been one of the best periods of his challenging young life with autism. It is down to the proactive, enthusiastic and engaging attitude of the staff which has enabled our son to partake in activities and life skills he otherwise wouldn't. A really important feature of Post19, which we have found hugely valuable, is that Post19 partners closely with parents, meaning we work together very effectively to resolve issues and strive for the best experiences and outcomes for our son. In summary great people that care, providing a very special service in our experience.
Here's the punchline; my son doesn't talk so can't tell us what he thinks, but we know he loves Post19 as he jumps out of bed every day to get ready to go, something he would rarely do in previous settings.

I'm both an employee and relative of someone who accesses this service.

Firstly, as an employee of post 19's for the last 4 years, all I can say is what a breath of fresh air this place is! I came here fatigued working in both social care and SEN. I was very frustrated by the limitations imposed both on myself and indeed the clients I was supporting. I'm proud to say with the positive, forward thinking and proactive nature of this place I've been a part of something amazing. I've seen people who weren't in the best place absolutely thrive at post 19 and its been the most rewarding experience of my life so far.

Secondly, my brother followed me here as I heavily recommended it. He was extremely socially isolated. Now he's unrecognisable. He accesses such a wide range of activities now which is a far cry from his past. He also has such a wonderful banter with all the staff. Myself and my whole family are so very grateful to this place. If I could give it 6 stars, I would 🙂

Post19 is a great learning centre for all young adults with learning disabilities.
I am very happy at last, I found this place for my son, who benefits so much with them and looking forward to a brighter future in their high care and learning support.

My son joined enterprise 19 last June and he loves it. The staff are wonderful and are very helpful and supportive to both me and my son.

Since my son has been going here his behaviour has improved so much hes so happy excited to go keeps asking is it time to go mum ma his self worth has improved he tells us hes going to work with all his friends the staff are outstanding really caring professional they have taken the time to do activities that my son will enjoy and bring out the best in him I really have so much praise for post nineteen

Avoid this place at all cost! Total lack or regard to the welfare of children, they employ staff who threaten children and members of the public when not getting there own way, police investigated on going! YOU HaVE BEEN WARNED!
