It has taken me a while to get on here and finally leave my review.

I've been in/around EMS for a little over 25 years until I let my cert expire in 2022 as I was pursuing a career in Aeronautics.

Like most of us in EMS once it's in your blood, it's there to stay. After a little over 5 years, I decided it's time to get back to my calling, along with a few signs from the good lord above(figured I better listen...lol)

Well, I had missed the deadline to reapply/re-cert, so I had no choice but to go back through school.

I chose Percom for several reasons....Cost, flexibility, but most importantly the owner/lead instructor. You see, she taught me in my first EMT class back in 1993, and I knew from back then if I had want to be a part any learning program, it would be one she was a part of. The knowledge, and passion that she brings to the program is un-surpassed, and I've been around a lot of instructors through the years.

This, nor any online program is NOT for everyone, neither is EMS. Going online makes you think outside the box, and gives you a taste of what it's like out on the truck when it's only you and your partner, 45 minutes to an hour from the nearest hospital with a critical patient, and no other support around.

You have to put in the effort to make sure YOU are successful, no one is going to carry you. All the information you need to pass the NREMT is there. Sure there may be some delays with responses, but that information is also provided to you when you enroll, and you actually read the information they send you.

Using the information that they provide you, along with referring to your text book, and online resources; as long as you apply yourself, you will have no issues.

I would highly recommend the EMT program at PERCOM. From what I understand the Paramedic program is even more in depth, with more support, but also more rigorous. I guess we shall see, as I plan on signing up for it in the coming weeks, I've been an EMT long enough, it's time to progress, and I feel there is no better place to do it, than at PERCOM.

Good luck to you all, God speed, and steady hands.

As a paramedic student at Percom, I had the opportunity to transfer my AEMT status and complete Part 2 of the paramedic program. This program can be finished in less than a year with the right schedule. My experience was slightly different, as I didn't have an ideal schedule and even attended a fire academy midway through my paramedic course. It's worth mentioning that I believe few (or none) other paramedic courses would have offered me the flexibility to do this.

Taking a leave of absence for the fire academy was remarkably straightforward, thanks to Percom's understanding and support of my situation. With just a few emails, I was able to pause and later resume my studies seamlessly.

The course itself lays a solid foundation for an entry-level paramedic. It encourages students to independently explore more complex topics online, allowing for a tailored learning experience based on personal interest and perceived areas for improvement. This approach was ideal for me, offering exactly what I needed to start at an entry-level and the autonomy to deepen my knowledge where I saw fit.

This program is suitable for anyone aspiring to become a paramedic, especially those concerned about balancing school with life's unpredictable demands (e.g. going through a fire academy in the middle of paramedic school). Its flexibility is a significant advantage.

If I were to note a drawback, it would be that scheduling for certain parts of the course can be challenging (there is fault on my end too). However, this is a minor issue in the context of my overall positive experience.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Percom's paramedic program. If you're considering it, I advise you to start now. Looking back, you'll likely appreciate how instrumental this course was in your career.

Thank you, Jane.

Current student, please save yourself the anxiety and headache this program will give you, and look for a more competent one. I’ve had so many communications issues with the staff and they all developed from them not responding after multiple attempts with several different staff members . At first it was great and as time moved forward the true colors started to show. I’m not sure if I’m being targeted because im a minority but I hope that’s not the case. I just need to complete my clinicals to be done with this place and they still won’t respond to me. I hope someone else doesn’t have to go through the headache. And for reference look at the level of unprofessionalism portrayed in all their responses that are not a rating they like, that should be enough reason to stay away from this place. Unprofessional and incompetent. I regret giving them my money and energy. Sad.

Back in 2019, I first heard about PERCOM Online and from then on, I was intrigued. Fast forward to Fall of 2021. I finally made the leap and enrolled into the school. Since 2016, I've been working towards getting my paramedic license. However, as we all know, life came rolling up and suffice to say, my dreams were shelved.

Since enrolling here, folks, I have nothing but praise for them. I've never been to a school that, whenever life happens, works with you. Everyone at PERCOM is dedicated to the success of their students.

So, if you're looking for an outstanding EMS program, I highly recommend PERCOM Online. You're able to do the classwork at your own pace and always have help when you need it. And then when it's time for clinicals - you have a wide range of sites to choose from. It's far from easy, but, worth it in the end.

My paramedic instructor was awesome. Willing to help and answer any questions I had. Gabriel especially was helpful during the live instruction. Just like any online course you need to be driven and need to keep up on things to get it done. Nobody is going to hold your hard. Even though I didn’t have any clinic sites close to me at the start of the program, I was able to set them up fairly easily. I did good at my clinic sites and felt prepared. I would suggest this program to those who want flexibility and are organized and driven, and shouldn’t you be all that if you are going to be a paramedic anyway?
