I attended Oxford Scholastica Summer School 2024 on the "Experience Medicine" Course as well as a recent Medicine Internship, and I had such an amazing time! I would 100% recommend this to everyone, as you are guaranteed to learn a lot, about medicine, culture, and independence.

Firstly, I learned a lot in my classes. The tutor was extremely kind and explained all the knowledge and concepts in a way where there was an engaging learning environment. I was able to do some hands on learning, stay engaged, learn a lot of specialized information about Medicine, and even experience how medical worker work in a class where we went to a real hospital with real patients! I also really enjoyed the self study tasks, they challenged me not only on my knowledge, but also on my creativity in finding creative solutions for certain problems. I was also able to improve myself as a learner, thanks to various workshops we had about people, learning, and debate. I also learned how to write a professional article in the internship, which gave me a lot of important skill to use later down the line.

Secondly, the experience also taught me how to live independently, and bond with those around me. I had some time to roam around the city as well as bond with the other students in my house. This taught me to rely on myself with tasks such as buying certain things I may need and managing money, as well as socializing with new people. I was able to make a lot of friends from both the internship and summer school that I still have, and I learned to motivate and depend on myself for my studies and also for general day to day life. There was evening a party on a yacht where we all bonded and had fun together! These skills will help me with living alone or with a roommate in college later, and gives me a great idea of that experience.

Lastly, I also got to learn a lot about the city of Oxford and the UK in general, due to the visits we made to various locations. As linked in the pictures below, I visited the city, and various different places such as Windsor Castle. I learned a lot about the history and culture of the city, which made me only love the city more. It also gave me a sense of open learning as every place we visited had so much to do and see, and we were able to check out whatever we were interested in. It was a great balance that was provided between studying and enjoying our course.

Overall, this has been the been summer program I have ever had! I am 100% coming back the following year, and I am even bringing my friend along with me! If you are looking for an summer experience where you dive deep into a subject of your choice, learn about the college experience, and explore the unique city of Oxford as well as the special sights, then Oxford Scholastica is right for you!

I spent the best summer of my life at Oxford Scholastica Academy. I attended the residential “Experience Business and Enterprise” course, and I loved every moment of it. I met inspiring people from all over the world and made close friends. I talked to inspiring figures and role models in the field of my choice and learned from the best tutors. The small classes enabled us to dive deep into the topics, engage in interesting discussions, and solve various cases as a team. Not only did I learn about business and entrepreneurship, but also valuable soft skills. Oxford Scholastica Academy helped me discover more about the person I want to be and has encouraged me to pursue my dream career. I can strongly recommend this experience to everyone who wants to spend the summer of their life, meet awesome people from around the world, build friendships that will last a lifetime, and learn more about the career of their dreams.

I loved my time at Oxford Scholastica Academy. I was able to meet some of my closest friends and meet some of the most inspirational tutors and learn from them. Also, I was able to have such a unique experience, which allowed me to gain independence and a sense of what University life is going to be like. Overall, my summer with Oxford Scholastica was the best summer of my life and I definitely suggest it to anyone who is interested.

During my research internship, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of mentorship and guidance from the faculty during this research internship. Their command over their subject and their passion truly inspired me, and every moment I felt challenged and supported. This turned out to be an invaluable experience, adding immensely to my growth both academically and professionally.

The summer courses taken at the Oxford Scholastica Academy were nothing short of superb. The diversity of subjects and quality instruction eclipsed all my previous experiences. Interactive classes, engaging discussions, and cooperative projects had broadened my knowledge and sharpened my critical thinking and communication skills.

Thirdly, the academy deserves credit for its focus on all-round development. Indeed, the extracurricular activities, mentorship, and networking opportunities that were provided made my experience at the academy holistic in nature.

Oversea Students: Never pay the full amount in advance to Oxford Scholastica until you receive your UK visa. Otherwise, they will not refund your money. They offered to help with the embassy letter, but my daughter was rejected, and we lost over $8,000. Oxford Scholastica is aware of these issues, yet they never mentioned or attempted to help. Terrible experience!!!

Oxford scholastica academy was one of my best summer experiences, even though I didn't want to study during the summer OSA allowed me to have fun & learn new knowledge about my future major. I did the OSA residential program over the summer and it was one of the best summers ever!! I took the discover medicine course which allowed me to learn about the cardiovascular system and medical ethics / basics of it. I loved OSA because it allowed me to have the freedom to explore the city & learn, it felt like I was in university. Besides learning medicine, I got to learn skills like active thinking, leadership, communication and so on. OSA allowed me to heighten my independence as well as my directional skills. It allowed me to get used to the university lifestyle. I met loads of people there and everyone was so welcoming & friendly. I had a group of friends which i still keep in contact to till this day. Overall, it was an extremely valuable experience that gave me the opportunity to improve my teamwork skills, meet new people and gave me freedom to explore a new city ! I was honestly extremely worried about not being able to meet new friends or being unable to navigate myself through the city, however, the OSA staff would bring us around and show us to new restaurants, things to do and where our classes would be. Overall, OSA helped me learn to adapt to new environments and learn what i'll plan on doing in the future. - Andree

I attended this academy for a summer school program and I will stand by my decision that it was one of the most eye-opening experiences that I have ever had. I have attended boarding school before so I wasn't expecting to feel overwhelmed by living on my own but to my surprise, a new city and meeting new people everyday did take its toll on me. However, the amazing support that I recieved from the activity coordinators and all the other staff at this academy was truly something I hadn't expected. They made me feel welcome and made sure I came into the common room with a smile each day. The activities were designed to not only show us the sights and sounds of the historic town of Oxford but also to open our experience to so many ways through which we could advance ourselves. Me, being an avid Harry Potter fan, it truly felt like I was living in a dream while visting plces like the Bodlain Library. Furthermore, the classes were immediately my favourite. The content taught was advanced and challenging, allowing me to test my limits with a subject I enjoy. The tutors were individuals who had acheived their dreams and this inspired me to keep working hard to achieve my own. Finally, an experience that I hold most dear is the friends I found. Eventhough the summer course lasted only 2 weeks, I found people who understood and appreciated me and I hope to keep this bond forever.
