I attended here during late 2024.

Overall, I actually think its a very nice University and before being at this one, I was at the University of Liverpool, and despite Liverpool being a Russell Group and NTU not being one, I have to say that actually this one has a better campus, better teaching staff and better facilities.

The City Campus is well organised, all the buildings are great places to study in and are of a variety of architectural styles and ages. Teaching is good, resources are easy to access online and in-person.

In summary, I think this University is good and it deserves the multiple "University of the Year" awards that it has received over the years. It is a modern University and is constantly improving itself. Most courses can be accessed with mid-range A-Level grades and I do believe that this University probably offers the best experience outside of the Russell Group.

I ultimately left after a few months because I decided I wanted to do a degree in a subject that I couldn't do with my current A-Levels, so I am aiming to begin an Access to HE and an extra A-Level in September 2025, and to go to University again in September 2026.

The university was formed by the amalgamation of several institutions of higher education. It originated from the Nottingham Government School of Design founded in 1843.
In 1945, the Nottingham and District Technical College was established. In 1958, Nottingham Regional College of Technology opened and in 1959, the Nottingham College of Education began at Clifton. In 1964, Nottingham Regional College was opened and in 1966, the original Nottingham College of Design was linked with the Regional College. Together they merged and the institution was upgraded to Polytechnic status in 1970 to become 'Trent Polytechnic'. In 1975 it amalgamated with Nottingham College of Education, and in 1988 the official name changed to 'Nottingham Polytechnic'.

- High failure rate: Over 60% of students failed in the Master's in Public Health program.
- Discrepancy between assignment performance and final results: Some students received failing grades despite submitting quality assignments and having positive supervisor feedback.
- Financial burden: The university charges £9,000 for re-enrollment and a second attempt.

International students have expressed concerns regarding the university's academic support, assessment processes, and financial policies.

Kicked off the course after 4 months for receiving a train fine on my DBS. Complete waste of time strongly advise not to apply here
