Stayed here for a night over the summer, nothing really impressive. Electric doors were cool. Lots of doors and very claustrophobic. Bathrooms were terrible, can't imagine staying there all year and sharing with other people. Kitchen was alright, very student-like. Room was depressing, can't imagine a student living there all year and trying to get their work done and their spirits up. Some buildings definitely need some remodelling. Good location though, for campus and grocery shopping, but other than that, not very impressive.

Postgrad here. The rooms are more spacious than my previous uni and generally are good. The kitchens are just ok, breakages are a constant issue. But the bathrooms are quiet bad, the showers only have curtains and not doors and the toilets are in cubicles like in an office. Could be better.

Overall not bad but don't expect anything to work the way it's supposed to. Both ovens just stopped working completely on more than one occasion (often at the same time leaving us unable to cook at all), and the wifi was very poor. It was often noisy at night and I got woken up a lot, but I'll concede that this is probably the case with most student accommodation.

The staff and the RAs were really nice, however, and I enjoyed the events they had on in the common room.

The living conditions are satisfactory at most. Maintenance took 2 semesters to fix the kickboard in my kitchen and there were frequent issues with the hobs. The shower temperature is inconsistent from flat to flat and the heaters switch off without warning in Block A, where as Block C has manual heaters. The layout varies from block to block meaning that others have better or worse facilities than you based on nothing but luck. The showers were cold for the first semester and one of the kitchen windows were broken. The kitchen lights have no plastic covers, which I believe is a health hazard. The lift is agonisingly slow, and there is only one lift, as compared to Block C. There were rat infestations in multiple blocks and there was mold in the showers when we arrived.
The only real upsides are that the accomodation is a 5-10 minute walk from the university and the reception hosts regular events.

Nixon court is good student accommodation which is located within walking distance to the main campus, about a 5 minute walk. The rooms are clean and include a bed, wardrobe, comfortable chair and table to work at, also shelves on the wall. There is a sink with hot and cold water and a decent sized mirror. The city living/residential staff are very helpful. They are good at what they do and if you do need any type of help, they will endeavor to help you and resolve any problems.
Nixon Court is a good choice for student accommodation and I recommend it 100%.

I lived in Nixon Court for my first year studying at the University of Leicester and I found it to be greatly convenient for quick access to the main campus and the train station. I had recurring issues within my flat however, our second shower did not work until semester two and despite filing multiple maintenance reports throughout the first semester, the issue was not resolved until very much later. Additionally, the second hob and stove was not working on arrival but thankfully was fixed to our surprise some time in the second semester. One disappointment I have in relation to my personal room (and maybe this was bad luck for me) was that my radiator was broken on arrival, making my room often too cold to sit and work in. I told numerous staff of my issue and was given the same advice time and time again but even when filing the maintenance reports nothing was done unfortunately. Nixon Court does however thrive during freshers with the 02 nearby and various other clubs in the city center.

Lived in block C, what a terrible experience. Boiler was never working so had to live with cold water for months. Oven would stop working. It's cheap but worth it? No
