At first, college seemed pretty good and wasn’t a bad start. However, things started to go downhill. One day, I was asked about the good and bad things about the internet. I jokingly mentioned “OF” (OnlyFans). Later, I was told that a student had been offended by my joke. However, I think it was more the teachers who were upset, as they told me I should apologize for my “offensive joke.” I didn’t think the joke was offensive, and others agreed with me. When I refused to apologize, I tried reasoning with them and said, “If it’s a student who’s offended, let them tell me, and I’ll apologize directly.” But they refused, saying the student’s identity was “hidden.” How was I supposed to apologize if they wouldn’t even tell me who was offended?

Later, in a meeting, they tricked me into signing an ABC course letter. While I was reading it, they said, “Don’t worry, you don’t need to read it all—it’s fine.” Since they were adults, I trusted them, especially because I have ADHD, and I didn’t think they’d lie. But they did. I missed the fine print, which stated that if I broke any of the implied rules, I’d be kicked off the course and out of the campus.

Side edit when I said I wanted to building gaming pc as a job they said they don’t have any jobs with that or can help me and forced me to tesco but when I got kicked off the corse my friend got that job as soon I got kicked off it as well so THEY lied to me and said they didn’t have a job but then I get kicked off and they have one bruh

A few days later, they questioned me about why I wasn’t participating or answering questions anymore and told me I needed to be more confident. Bruh. Eventually, they set me back a year, placing me in a class I actually enjoyed. But after that year, they tested me with a job readiness assessment and decided I wasn’t “ready for the workplace.” So, my college experience ended up being a waste of time.

(P.S. I also made a room for students with mental health issues to hang out because the common room was unbearable—it was way too loud. I’d always end up sitting in corners of different rooms just to get away. However, the well-being staff wouldn’t let me use the room I made because, apparently, it wasn’t a “social space.” Even though I have ADHD and that room felt perfect for me, they wouldn’t let me stay there. It made no sense.)
So yeah I say Mabey do queens drive or different college

This college is pretty two-faced, when I first made friends they deliberately split my friends into different separate groups even though it’s the same course, secondly they don’t respect peoples home lives and expect everybody to be the same instead of having an ounce of empathy for those they’re educating, thirdly I still can’t sign into my college teams account four weeks later.

This college is probably one of the worst experiences of my life firstly I have to pay for transportation to the college which is fine however if I have to pay to get to college to learn from a YouTube video I could do that at home secondly my lecturer told me that I shouldn’t have to work and that my parents should pay for my transportation which is just not an option and she wasn’t understanding that thirdly I was told that I could complete the course early if all task where completed to then be told that I am not allowed to attend the college for a second year as my attendance was under 90% it had nothing to do with my skill set I had a bunch of other issues but this college does not treat there students fairly or listen to there situations would not recommend

This collage is fantastic for mainstream but not for additional needs ref. evolve program! You will be told that need can be met when it can't and communication is absolutely awful. Please really look into this before you except placement for your child especially if they really struggle socially.

Went there for a tour, seems to be the most promising college for the course I want as it is not just sitting in a classroom playing with wires. Support staff are very helpful and friendly, receptionists not so good at their job however. I can appreciate that it is a big busy college but the receptionists need to be better equipped.

Doing a level 3 computing course. Most teachers manage to keep lessons interesting and the computers work well.

During the first term when I was doing level 2 there wasn’t computers for a bit as they where being upgraded because the original ones had been horrendously slow and would have a stroke if you opened word and chrome at the same time.

The current computers work well and everything is running smoothly despite COVID-19 precautions.

Went for a Creative Digital Media course, was told it would cover games, film, TV, etc.

In actuality the course was closer to being marketing, with one of the teachers having us actively work on improving the advertising and social media presence for a brand that he seemingly was working for.
