My worst experience with car insurance ever.
I travelled from Glasgow to Bournemouth to buy a car. When i got the car i was unable to make any changes to my policy on the online portal. I phoned customer service who could only refer me to my online portal, I also tried to use their online webchat which would only refer me to the online portal. I had to buy temporary insurance to drive home thinking i will get my car on the policy but I was wrong. So I've had to get a new policy and now motorcade pass you from pillar to post trying to get my no claims bonus...

Dear Havens and motorcade insurance

I am to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the handling of my recent claim regarding the fire incident involving my insured vehicle. Despite reporting the incident promptly and providing all the necessary information, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of action and support from your company.

On 11 November 2023, my vehicle, aAudi A3 S3, was on fire due to reasons beyond my control. I immediately contacted your claims department to report the incident and initiate the claim process. However, since then, I have experienced significant delays and a lack of progress in resolving my claim.

Firstly, I am dismayed to learn that your company is still conducting further investigations into the incident. It has been an unreasonable amount of time since the incident occurred, and I believe that sufficient time has passed for a thorough assessment to be made. The delay in completing these investigations is causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

Furthermore, I am disappointed to note that no arrangements have been made to collect my vehicle for inspection by a repairer. It is imperative that my car is assessed promptly to determine the extent of the damage and initiate the necessary repairs. The lack of action in this regard is prolonging the resolution process and preventing me from having access to my vehicle.

Additionally, I have not been provided with a courtesy car during this period of inconvenience. As a policyholder, I expected to receive the necessary support to mitigate the impact of this unfortunate incident on my daily life. The absence of a courtesy car has caused significant disruption to my personal and professional commitments.

I understand that insurance claims can involve complex procedures and investigations. However, the prolonged delay, lack of communication, and failure to provide essential services such as vehicle collection and a courtesy car are unacceptable. I urge you to take immediate action to expedite the claim process, arrange for the inspection of my vehicle, and provide me with a suitable replacement vehicle.
I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. I look forward to a prompt resolution and the restoration of my faith in your company's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Not very helpful at all won’t be carrying on my policy for long with the company not none a company that don’t listen to the customers when there going through some terrible times. Even when my son has to be rushed into hospital last night quick enough to charge fees for being one or to days late and not being told you can change the date of the direct debit till it’s to late just all about the money. I’ll re post this onto Google reviews…

Unlike other company’s where they talk to the customers and listen to what customers are going through these really don’t care what your story is about don’t matter if your son was rushed to hospital or the fact your homeless with your 2 kids it’s all about slamming you with the fees as that’s all what there about extra fees and money. I’ll be looking for insurance else where even if it comes to it I have to pay more money …

After cancelling my insurance on a van in November and paying extortionate cancellation fees (which are over twice the cost of anywhere else) acorn insurance continued to take a payment on Christmas Day , after challenging them about this they admitted to their mistake after being on the phone for hours and accusing me of making a mistake(the mistake they made was that when I payed cancellation fee they did not end the credit agreement) this is bad practice as well as being illegal, I have been chasing up a refund which they have agreed to pay however it has now gone past the promised payment date and acorn insurance appear to be doing very little about it. I have informed them this has left me short for the month however they don’t seem to care they only seem to care about getting you off the phone as quick as possible. Countless times they have promised to be in touch with a solution or call me back but not once has any of the promises came through. Top this off with a terrible automated phone system that you have to wait for over half an hour to speak to somebody only for them to be not useful at all absolutely shocking company I would not recommend to anybody ever
