Despite all the negative comments - and i strongly agree with most of them - i have to give 4 stars. Not for Argos as a whole - they have limited availability of stock - but we have to accept it is only a small store in a huge Sainsburys. We have to accept that they can only hold a limited amount. My review is based on one Argos staff member - i have already called Argos Customer Service to express my praise for JOJO. He is a young Man who went above & beyond to rectify our complex issue - which was very confusing both for us & JOJO. But he refused to give up until he finally sorted it - he was determined not to give in & finally succeeded. He really is the Jewel in the Argos Crown! I hope Argos Head Office take notice of my praise & reward him deservedly. JOJO - THANK YOU SO MUCH! From someone who has more than 35yrs experience in dealing with - and trying to satisfy often irate Customers, wether they are right or wrong. JOJO - you exceeded my extremely high expectations! Good luck in all u do in the future.

I intended to return an item and get refunded within 14 days of purchase. I cited the UK law about “Accepting returns and giving refunds” and “distance selling”. The store manager refused to return, and refused to test the product onsite.

I contacted online customer services. They apologised and offered an e-gift card, equivalent to a full refund, which I received card within 24 hours.

After reading the negative reviews here, I realised my experience is not alone.

Staff need to be properly trained to understand and adhere to UK Law related to consumer rights. Store managers have no right to ignore the UK law and make their own “rules” to create unnecessary barriers for customers to return products.

I tried to get through to.store I rang 3 times kept asking for order no said if have no no letters enter wouldn't take it as had letters pre ridiculous answering service I.find it hard to.deal with you .I d ord a fanas my x took one backbroken needed urgently you wouldn't deliver said pick up from.melton rd leicester 10am sun1st september . I paid then ra g to see if I could puck up.quicker wouldn't let me speak to.anyone as yer stupid order nohad letters I. Front wouldn't take number let type in kept going round I. Circles ridiculous

Fast track counter wasn't manned... 4min wait later, and I got served and my order wasn't quite ready. Only took a min after that so not too bad at all. A good experience and service overall. Some room for improvement however.

Worst store i have been to of argos, theres 8 till counters and 18 tablet screens to place order but all this with only 3 staff members! Long queues waiting for almost an hour to get served! Never coming back again!

Great customer service. Was in the store waiting to collect my item when a customer started to make a scene at the checkout.
Throughout the entire episode, despite huge provocation, the store manageress remained polite and professional throughout. Irrespective off be aggressive customer the manageress attempted to calm the situation and deal with the situation politely and professionally.
Great team of staff in the store who are welcoming and professional.
