I took a L2 coding course with Learning Curve. I haven't done much distance learning before but I found it no trouble. The E-learning website was really easy to use and my tutor would mark my work very promptly. I was actually really impressed by how quickly they posted my certificate after I finished my course, in my experience at other training providers, it's taken longer. I've started two more courses with Learning Curve Group and I'm really enjoying them.

Recently finished Level 2 Counselling skills. The online lesson was great and informative.
I came across many hurdles whilst completing my course, due to losing family members and mental health issues, but LCG were so understanding and gave me extensions when requited.
My tutor was great with replying to emails and texts.
I got my certificate within 2 weeks after completion, which I was so surprised with!
I'd definitely recommend to everyone....I'm now completing another level 2 course and a level 3 course ?
Great to do whilst being a stay at home mummy with a career break....helps me gain qualifications before going back to work!
Thank you LCG ?

Took up a government funded course with this group in 2022. Completed the course well before deadlines (because it was no where near as in-depth as I thought when enrolling).
Still waiting to receive certification now 5 months after completion. Online it still states my completed work is waiting "verification".

I've lost hope in this company now and believe it was a complete waste of time to get involved with them.
There are much better places out there you can go to gain skills.

I recently completed a course on Understanding Autism, which is ironic because the course and the platform are terrible for anyone who has autism.

But before I dive in, let me give you some background. I have worked in online technology for 10 years, 8 of those in educational technology. I have worked for an online school and two companies that build education platforms. One of those built a Learning Management System (LMS), which is the online environment in which students and teachers operate, sharing information, assignments, and grades. I am passionate about education as well as accessibility, plus I know what a *good* experience looks like, which is why I feel qualified to tell you that my experience with Learning Curve Group fell far short of good.

The platform itself is outdated and clunky. It's annoying and tedious to navigate through it, as well as on a single page of endless questions. Those questions could have been broken up across pages, or even just spaced better, as just looking at 50+ questions and answer boxes lined up without gaps filled me with dread. So unmotivating and distracting! (Even just a button to collapse all the questions so you can open one at a time would help...)

If you find it easier to write out your notes and answers in another tool that's cleaner and less distracting (I like using Notion), you're not able to copy and paste your answers into the boxes. You can't even copy and paste within a box, so you have to highlight and drag text inside the box to rearrange sentences and paragraphs, unless you want to rewrite what you've already written.

Deadlines and expectations were unclear. Nowhere in the LMS did it tell me when assignments were due, and I was expected to work this out based on vague details. Even the naming of assignments was confusing. I had three, ordered as A, B, and 2. Yes, you make sense of that.

I will say, the workbooks I was provided were well-written and interesting, but that's where the goodness ended.

The assignments were made up of so many questions that basically asked you to regurgitate information from the workbooks, but in your own words. They literally said in the workbooks which section corresponded with which question. So many of the questions also felt super repetitive, so you had to figure out how to share the same information but in a slightly different way. I don't think the assignments added anything to my learning at all.

I'm someone who does online courses for fun and loves learning, but this was awfully dull. The only reason I ended up completing the course is because I didn't want to pay a fee.

Completed a course before the learning assistant even contacted me. This was in October 2021. By January 2022, I had received no certificate and so, contacted LCG. I finally received email acknowledgment of completion in February 2022 and was told I would receive my certificate within 3 months (bearing in mind this was over 3 months since I completed) - it has now been a further 3 months and, not surprisingly, I have still received nothing.

Have done 2 courses through this company.
1st one they lost my details multiple times and then tried to charge me £450 (full course price after claiming its all free bar a £125 withdrawal fee) when I questioned them and how they lost my details multiple times... Breach of GDPR that I "learned" from the course.

The course is multiple workbooks which require essays for answers.

2nd Course I started when furloughed in March. Tutor claimed to attempt contact but didn't. The course wanted me to send screenshots of how we store sensitive information as a company (GDPR AGIAN). Breach my contract and apply for new jobs whilst furloughed. Then sent the workbook back saying that I had to do these things to pass or otherwise pay. When questioning this via email to the tutors first contact 4 weeks after the course start date I received no reply and wasted 2 weeks to get no certificate.

Terrible company, signed up via South West Skills in Helston for level 2 in cleaning principles. Was told twice my course work had been posted to me. Got my Advisor to contact them and they said course had been delivered and signed for by myself but where unable to provide proof of signature. In the meantime i keep getting texts reminding me my course work is late. Finally get the first module posted to me, a wad of badly photocopied sheets. Completed and set back within 1 week. No online details for couse given although i rang and requested this. Next i get a letter demanding £125 feee because i had not completed course in stated time. Followed by another voice mail stating the same. Totally unorganised company, no response to problems, promised to sort out and call me back on 2 occasions. Avoid at all costs.

Company is not fit for purpose..... Neglegent with data (My confidential info was pass out to other learners without my permission). They put you on courses but don't give you your results. They make you chase them for any piece of information or updates you need. O have been waiting 6 months for course results and certificates and I am still waiting. Either seriously understaffed odlr they just don't care. I think it's the latter. Use at your own risk.
