JD Gyms Milton Keynes

I have been a member for two years and during that time old equipment is constantly unavailable. Broken equipment is reported to employees but waits for weeks to be repaired. Additionally, for several months there has been no means of disinfecting the equipment. I really enjoy spending time here (the employees are very nice and helpful) but the constantly unavailable equipment makes training impossible. I am considering switching to the PureGym, who are next door and have replaced all the equipment with new ones.

I’ve been a member for nearly 2 years now and haven’t been to the gym in 2 months due to how poor it’s maintained. Equipment is old, lots are broken and they take ages to have them fixed. Buckets on the floor as there are leaks in the ceiling. They used to have cleaning sprays and paper towel for you to wipe off equipment before and after use, but have removed these many months ago. I feel disgusted to use the equipment without being able to clean it first. The women’s room is unbelievable smelly. There’s absolutely no ventilation and no windows there. And there’s hardly any staff, if you encounter an issue, good luck trying to find a staff to help you. I’ll pay Pure gym a visit after reading the reviews that their equipment has been updated.

Came here on a guest pass today, please ignore the bad reviews staff are lovely the gym is spacious and has lots of different areas to train in. Female changing rooms were clean and tidy. If I lived in Milton Keyes would ? join here.

old machines in poor technical condition constantly broken, months of solution for repair, no paper towels to wipe the seats and no sanitary products to disinfect the equipment, the matter is constantly reported to managers, no decisions whatsoever, the gym next to PureGym has completely new equipment which forces me to force the gym, I am very disappointed with the management's approach to customer care and safety

I have been going to JD Gym for more than one year. The gym desperately needs a refresh. The equipment is getting old and there are many that get broken and it takes ages for them to be fixed. The gym is dirty and they do not leave wipes or anything to clean the equipment. The gym needs to urgently up its maintenance teams. There are several disgusting leakages from the ceiling pipes constantly and nothing is done. Not good value for money I am afraid.

Yay found zumba which i love. Gym has a woman only sauna and its a huge place and clean. Very happy for the price.

Big shame another Franchise isn't runnin it, penny pinching is leaving this gym falling behind others that have upgraded, most other JD gyms have upgraded as have Pure next door. I've seen 3 JD Gym's and both others Harlow & Wigan had better Foreman machines for Chest and far better music. Staff across All 3 were Always very friendly though. Other site staff also spoke when asked about it being a 2-3 Weeks tops for repairs, NOT months like MK?. Benches are screwed down and of poor quality with immovable seat angle. Bench is missing from a Smith machine, taken by someone else, thus reducing the versatility of the Smith machine. Also it doesn't rain heavy you may just find Buckets dotted around the gym catching Rainwater?, and sometimes ?the water from the showers above, so machines are cordoned off getting covered in germs whilst they wait for a roof fix. Oh and my advice purchase your own Curling handles, they're like Gold Dust. And the showers smell ? bad. I go for price not product at Mk JD, but I'd easily pay the extra £4.99 to have Harlow or Wigan's machines repair times and music that ISNT 80% UK Rap. Mk JD Needs the company head to visit unannounced as it's leaking roof drips over everything rainwater & Shower water from above?
