My employer sent me to this college for an 18-month IT apprenticeship in 2020 and it has been an unmitigated disaster from start to finish.
Although the admin staff seem like lovely people, many are hopelessly incompetent at their jobs, which has led to numerous mishaps including when they didn’t bother to tell me my start date (I had to call and ask). The tutors are no better; my class has been through five tutors throughout the course with several being forced to resign due to unprofessionalism, inexperience and staggering incompetence. This unusually high rate of staff turnover has been a huge inconvenience for us, as each new tutor needed a week or two to familiarise themselves with the content before they were able to continue teaching us effectively.
During the pandemic the tutors "taught" us remotely, however it wasn’t unusual to inexplicably go a day without a Teams meeting or any kind of lesson at all. Whenever this happened, they would email us with some drab tasks to complete, which were sometimes lazily copied and pasted from the internet. It was clear that some tutors put little to no effort into their lessons as we would often be shown PowerPoint presentations that were several years old and lacking in vital information, which made using them as a revision tool difficult.
Unfortunately, we were given far too much time to complete the content of our course by the examining boards, which seems to have led to tutors becoming sloppy and careless. Had we been taught free of delays and incompetence we could easily have completed our entire course in 12 months. The process has instead been drawn out and extremely painful.
Thankfully this college has failed its Ofsted inspection and will be forced to close its doors in the near future. Let this review be a reminder to employers and learners alike to avoid institutions like ITEC at all costs.

This company run by a bunch of cowboys probably ain’t got a proper degree in education one of the student told me there last teacher got fired because he was going students party’s just look for vulnerable poor people that are desperate for a job and put them on the useless traineeship and waste even more of their time the manager Susan Phillips she’s always looking miserable and being a bully and acting the victim and Andy the teacher here has a few student leave this place because the way he treats them it seems like everyone in here have a snobby attitude don’t not recommend this place it’s funny how my comment got deleted off here please feel free to message me if you got any problems with my review
