I had an amazing experience at IH Bristol! I spent three months here, and my English improved significantly. Thanks to the incredible teachers—Patrick, Saskia, Joanna, Joe, and Charlie—and their guidance, I was able to level up my IELTS score from 4 to 6.5 in a very short amount of time. This achievement made it possible for me to join university in the UK, and I’m so grateful for their support. A special thank-you to Pete, the boss, and all the staff for their encouragement and help.

The school also organized so many social activities that made my summer unforgettable. I got to explore the city, meet international students, and have so much fun while learning.

Thank you, IH Bristol, for everything! I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to improve their English quickly and effectively while having a great time.

Amazing school. I’m from Chile and I came here two years ago, to learn how to speak English, and it was an amazing experience doing it here. Everyone is very charming and the school is equipped with the latest technology to help students improve their English skills. I would choose it again without doubt.

IHBristol is a brilliant language school. I completed the CELTA here and enjoyed my time as a trainee teacher. The school is very welcoming and both staff and students are friendly. There is a really nice atmosphere. The CELTA trainers were amazing, worked so hard for us trainees and they showed us, by example, how to be great language teachers. The course was well structured, enjoyable and rewarding. During my time teaching as a trainee at IHBristol I realised I wanted to do this job for the rest of my life. Thank you all for the wonderful experience. I definitely recommend the school to language students and those thinking of taking the Celta. 💯
Forever Thanks, Jenna.

I recently completed my CELTA course at IH Bristol, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience. From the very beginning, the professionalism displayed by our tutors Charlie and Carol set a high standard. They were not only knowledgeable but also dedicated to ensuring that each student succeeded. Their enthusiasm for teaching was contagious and made the learning environment engaging and inspiring.

The vibe of the school was another highlight. It felt warm and welcoming, fostering a sense of community among the students. Everyone was supportive, and the collaborative atmosphere made it easy to share ideas and learn from one another.

If you're considering a CELTA course, look no further. I would choose this school again and again without hesitation. This program exceeded my expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to advance their teaching skills.

Thank you!

The course also felt very well organised and professional, which helped put me at ease. The tutor's passion for teaching English has helped inspire me to continue furthering my own skills, and I look forward to utilising what they've taught me in the workplace.

Deciding to do the CELTA at International House Bristol (IHB) was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Throughout the course, I significantly improved not only my teaching skills but, most importantly, my approach to teaching English. The support and guidance from the assessors helped me redefine what good teaching looks like, making my lessons far more student-centered. As a result, my classes have become more engaging and fun for everyone involved!

The most impactful part of this CELTA journey is that it directly led to me landing my dream job with one of the top companies in Japan, teaching English as a foreign language. I couldn’t have achieved this without the incredible support from the assessors, staff, and my fellow trainees, who made the experience both memorable and invaluable.

I would highly recommend the IHB CELTA course to anyone looking to become a TEFL teacher. It’s not just a course—it’s an investment in your future as an educator. The skills and confidence you gain will open doors and give you the foundation to succeed in this career. For me, it was truly one of the best investments I’ve ever made.

About red warning weather condition, which means life threatening situation.

I understand that you mentioned informing the OET center about potential delays on the road, but this is not just a road delay. This is an official government warning issued yesterday due to extremely dangerous weather conditions. It’s not just a simple delay — both major routes connecting Wales and England were completely closed.

To contact the center and try to understand the situation just an hour or 45 minutes before the registration starts is, in my opinion, completely unprofessional.

Since I don’t know which center you needed to contact, considering that the central OET office is located in Australia, it seems unreasonable to expect the team there to monitor the situation in every single center around the world. It was your responsibility to ensure the situation for today and the exam itself was managed appropriately.

Other centers reacted appropriately, as I know from my colleagues who were also supposed to take the exam today. The Welsh centers contacted their authorities yesterday to assess the situation - and exams were canceled for today.

This, in my opinion, demonstrates a complete disregard for people — both those who need to travel to the center and your own staff. It also unnecessarily put everyone at risk in such a dangerous situation.

Thank you.
