I LOVE THIS LIBRARY.IT is a very nice and safe place were you can spend you're weekend hours. I love the wide variety of books but I wish they had more diary and tween books like:Dork diary, news articles.....
Overall, it is a lovely place to visit would definitly recommend. 🙂

since it moved premises, it has downgraded. only some of the stock is out and it has become rather a shadow of its former self.
example: the comics and manga are grouped onto one shelving unit, arranged seemingly randomly. DC (my beloved) and marvel (don't care about it) are mixed up so it's a little hard to find the publisher you want. looking for the aquaman rebirth series, first time i went they only had 4th and 5th volumes. second time, only 3rd volume. i have had to ask at the desk for comics that should be grouped together on the shelf. series are also mixed up.
i get that they want to display a range, but if a first volume isn't on loan, it should be the one on the shelf rather than one from in the middle of the series. i did have good luck with titans rebirth #1, however.
the staff are quite nice and helpful. they also let my friend volunteer with them for bronze dofe and let me order in the third book in a trilogy.

Bloody awful ware it is a down scaled version a shadow of its former self. Only advantage is nearer to bus station 4 elderly my mums been member 75 years and wen it moved to its current location she stopped going that told me all I needed to know. Because now tjare in huge financial pickle the old building & the vacated empty pizza will go to rack n ruin no doubt they stopped investing in this town in 94 so in 95 I left & whilst I don't regret coming bk too my birth roots I'm absolutely appalled that a partially disabled lady I have to go leeds for my meat &fish &fruit n vege coz Huddersfield I can't sod all and the new plans the blue print &cultural harte will only seal lid shut tight on the coffin called Huddersfield there's more life in our graveyards fact!! Unfortunately 1 star is lowest I can give because it doesn't have minus 9 or 10 id score it minus 14 if I could that's how this town is and with every budget cut comes an ever more decoration of Huddersfield.

Absolutely fantastic place for children.
We took our 3 kids there and they loved it. All got registered by friendly staff for library cards.
Lots of books to choose from , children can relax and read books on bean bags or sofa. Baby change facility. Children received a welcome pack and you can take their books back to ANY Kirklees library with no late fees. Will be going there regularly
