We booked Home Cook School to cater for the night before our wedding. Lindsay was incredibly easy to work with with regards to planning and helping to choose our menu and cater for dietary requirements. The food itself was absolutely incredible, everyone commented on how delicious everything was, particularly the lasagne! The variety of dishes was great also. There was plenty of it and enough to eat the next day too. Couldn’t recommend more for a large group.

We hired Home Cook School to cater a wedding rehearsal dinner for 25 at a private residence. I was planning the event remotely from the United States. Lindsay was excellent during the planning process. She helped us work through menu planning, finding somewhere to rent the plates and silverware we needed, and was very communicative and easy to work with during the process.

We chose a Mediterranean-inspired meal with kebabs, salads, bruschetta, dates wrapped in prosciutto, and more.

The day of the event, her team was on-time, professional, and friendly. The food was EXCELLENT, beautifully presented, and many guests commented on how wonderful it tasted. In addition, her team was able to pass canapes, which allowed people to mingle at the event.

I would definitely use Home Cook School again for a future event. They did a great job!

As a keen amateur cook, I was delighted to be gifted a home lesson with Lindsay. We spoke ahead of time about what style of cooking I would like to do and agreed on a three course Thai menu. We arranged to time the lesson so that we could invite friends over for dinner to taste the results.

Lindsay was great and guided us through the recipes, giving us tips and tricks along the way. We spend around three hours, which just flew in and she left us with everything ready just to finish off when our guests arrived.

The unanimous verdict was that the food was absolutely delicious, and would easily have fed another couple of people. A great experience which I would absolutely recommend to anyone considering it.

The food was amazing and I was so impressed with Lindsay's professionalism, from the first contact right through to her calling me a few days after having a baby to check all was in place for our special day! After 18 months of planning and a couple of delays due to Covid-19, Lindsay finally got to cater for my best friend's Hen weekend! She was an absolute pleasure to communicate with throughout, from initial enquiry through to the day of the event. We had several dietary requirements which had to be considered too and a very tasty menu was written to fulfill all needs! Every single hen loved their meal. Unforunately, some guests couldn't be there last minute (thanks to Covid 🙄) but Lindsay cooked and boxed up the additional meals so that they could still be enjoyed. Thanks so much for all your hard work Lindsay and team, we had a ball!

Anyone considering using Home Cook School; this is your sign - do it!

My mum and I were looking for some rainy day activities for our holiday in September (the best time to visit if you want the true Scottish weather) when we stumbled upon the Home Cook School. Lyndsay asked our cooking abilities to align the session best and absolutely nailed the lessons. We learned to cook a variety of things to take home and enjoy; new skills I’ll use for the rest of my life!

Lindsay was a pleasure to work with. She allowed us time to review menu choices prior to this, our first trip to Scotland, to ensure that we would be making a meal that would suit our taste buds! Our time in the kitchen was a highlight of the trip, especially because it allowed our husbands to do some hands-on baking, which was such fun to watch. The lessons took place at a beautiful farm in a beautiful setting, at the crest of rolling hills outside the back door where we could relax on the patio and watch the livestock grazing in the distance. The dining room was lovely, the candle-lit table simply set, with china, linens and candlelight. Lindsay's assistant was also a joy, and greatly contributed to our experience. Would highly recommend taking classes with Lindsay at Home Cook School.
