London's prettiest university. Easily walkable and well signposted from nearby New Cross, New Cross Gate, Deptford, Deptford Bridge DLR and Greenwich stations. Friendly staff. Costa Coffee right outside.

Choosing to do computing at Goldsmiths was like deciding to go to an ice rink to learn to swim. I survived and passed 2 years. Was told I had earned a diploma, had it in writing from the lecturer. Goldsmiths decided that I was not due a qualification at all. I feel scammed. Just learn what you need to online, especially for computing.

A great university for the arts. Helping today for setting up for the fine arts degree show in the modern Ben Pimlott facility for final year students. As expected there is a degree of incoordination and last minute panic as nobody is in charge or knows what and when thing are happening. Goldsmiths has a more traditional teaching style similar to Oxbridge colleges of letting the students themselves decide what to do rather than the instructional style of most other institutions resulting in exceptional creativity.

Goldsmiths University, known for its artsy reputation, has turned enrolment into a circus. In 2024, how can a university still be so disorganised, leaving students commuting from far distances stranded due to a “glitch” in their system? I booked an appointment, only to wait in chaos with broken printers and queues that led nowhere. After multiple trips and reassurances from staff, my enrolment remained incomplete, despite submitting qualifications. Meanwhile, bursary applications suffered similar dysfunction, with system errors and lost forms. It’s shocking how poorly this university handles basic processes, raising serious concerns about their competence. Goldsmiths, get your act together!

When it comes to Computer Science and Data Science, this is a nasty, racist and unethical institution that fails students even after they have cleared all their modules, and then they ask them to re-enroll, so they can gobble up more monies. Your successful second attempt will not show up on the VLE, and there would be no record of it, because it has been refreshed for the new academic year. So it is a loss-loss situation for the student. The registry as well as the course leader is a nightmare. To be avoided at all costs!

DO NOT ENROL HERE.

I have had a multitude of issues with them and their TERRIBLE systems, TERRIBLE management and incompetent staff.

During COVID, we were given pre-recorded lectures to watch and had to do everything at home. INCLUDING EXAMS. THEY STILL CHARGED THE MAXIMUM LEGAL AMOUNT FOR TUITION DURING THIS TIME.

On top of this, I missed MONTHS of work due to their systems errors and completed work they gave me that ended up being invalid, due to their error.

My complaints to them took MONTHS to be looked at and more time to be "resolved" (they were never fully resolved, just had band-aids applied, so to say).

I received graduation email spam on my second year and my VLE was cluttered with invalid courses due to them putting me in third year in error.

They tried to invalidate my taken exams. reschedule exams I was supposed to take WITHIN 1 DAY OF THEM TAKING PLACE.

some courses I took were incorrectly marked as COMPLETELY ABSENT and I was forced due to their errors to take on group assessments requiring several people ON MY OWN.

These people don't care about you. They want your money. Their actions reported by news organisations in the last decade should tell you all about them.

This "University" is a massive embarrassment of one that you should stay FAR FAR AWAY FROM.

Nice grass area in campus but no good foods surroundings.

Some staff are irresponsible during the strike. Some of us received zero refund for the blanked class dates. Some part time teachers evaluated students with bias. Be careful!

This uni is great for arts. Lecturers are friendly, uni has nice surroundings and the facilities that they provide are great as well. This university takes the pandemic very seriously, so I feel safe and welcome. The lectures that uni provides us with (during pandemic) are good quality. I believe there could be added more learning content in the program, but overall everything is good.
