I accidentally found Forthours' Three Bridges boat tour on TripAdvisor, and I'm so glad I did! The 1-hour trip was absolutely excellent – great value for money and a wonderful way to see the stunning Firth of Forth. We were even lucky enough to spot seals, which was just amazing!

The boat crew were fantastic – super friendly, professional, and full of interesting facts about the bridges and the area. Their passion really added to the experience.

August 2024: Went on the 1.5 hour Forth Boat Tour around Inchcolm Island and under the three bridges. We started the tour at Hawes Pier and had to arrive 20 mins or so before sailing to ensure we could get our 'boarding passes'. Super tour with interesting commentary on the journey. Great views of the bridges and surrounding area. Tour guides on the boat gave additional local knowledge too. The boat was busy but that being said, there were plenty of seats inside and outside for everyone. There is a cafe and toilets on board - nothing special but good to have. The trip does stop at Inchcolm Island for guests to get on and off if you wish - however, this is at an additional cost and you are required to stay on the island until the next cruise passes. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and overall had a great experience. Would highly recommend and hope to do it again in the future.

Great experience. Tour took approx 2 hours. Pick up tickets from little booth on harbour, walk down to the harbour wall and wait for the cruiser. Open air seats and enclosed seats available. Probably holds about 150 people. Commentary starts immediately and is very informative. Lots to hear about the bridges, area, history. After an hour, if you want to, you can alight on the island, have to pay and you will be picked up 90 minutes later. Lots of people did this with buckets, shades, swimwear, picnics etc. Explored the island, beaches and Abbey. We saw several seals playing and sunbathing. Good spend of £30.

Amazing boat trip (even in the rain ☔) in a circular route on the Firth of Forth including a stop at Inchcolm Island and Abbey. The 1.5 hour trip costs around £50 for a family of four, which is amazing value for money. 👍🏻 To access the Island and abbey you pay an additional fee to Historic Environment Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 There is loads to do and the staff do all they can to help and make your trip comfortable. There is a cafe and toilets on board too. Highly recommended and MUST do trip. 😎

This tour is a lovely trip out, great scenery and marvellous being out on the water. BUT, please reduce the commentary. It’s like a conversation with your grandfather, fascinating facts explained three times. It ruins the peacefulness of being on the water. Would have been an easy 5 stars with less commentary.
