I’ve done a couple of IGP protection days training with Lewis now with my giant schnauzer and shepherd. We’re new to the sport and he’s been patient and helpful. Lewis is clear with instruction and explanation and knowledgeable of the breeds and the sport.
Definitely recommend

I was recommended Finchpark K9 by a colleague after he has great success with his dog. I booked my Cane Corso in for a 2 week residential as he was constantly pulling on his lead and was at the point where he was unable to be walked and when he seen other dogs/animals he would be on his back feet growling and barking to the point we would have to anchor ourselves to anything possible! We met Lewis at his training field where he assessed our boy and made she he was the right fit for the obedience training and if two weeks would be enough. He then went through what the training was about along with his daily routine, diet requirements, sleeping arrangements along with checking his vaccinations etc. I was completely shocked to receive a video the following day showing my dog walking next to Lewis with a slack lead and not pulling him across the field! Two weeks later I can walk my dog by my side on & off the lead! His recall is amazing and we can pass other animals on the same side of the road without my boy reacting or even having any interest in trying to pull my arm out of my socket! Very grateful for the work you’ve done with him and I can’t wait to attend some of the one day refresher classes you’ll be running. Thanks again! Ps…Frank says hi

Had dogs all my life and decided on a very large dog breed, thought it would be a walk in the park! as this decision came with a lot of unseen behaviour issues! Lewis has assisted me with handling and trained my Central Asian Shepherd dog from a puppy on a 1-1, his knowledge and way with animals is exemplary. Thank You Very Much Lewis we now have an amazing pet and family member because of your patience and skills.

I decided to get a Shiba Inu puppy despite all the warnings about their stubbornness. Oh yes, our boy Harris was a drama queen (king), super stubborn. He cried each time we wanted to do something he didn't like, for example to go left. He wanted to play with every dog met or he just wouldn't move, sat for 15 mins. Lewis sorted it all out within 2 weeks. Before the training our puppy wouldn't allow us to put a collar on him, we couldn't clean him after the walk, or even put medication in his eyes, he was growing, barking, biting and performing a trauma crying act, as Shibas do. Now, Harris is much calmer, focused on us during the walk, ignores other people and dogs when told to do so, he is a really 'good boy', everybody in our environment noticed that. We can even take him off the leash, as his recall has improved so much. Happy days! Thank you Lewis 🙂

Absolutely brilliant, highly knowledgeable and super experienced dog trainer, one of the best in the country. He's been fantastic with my young igp dog, I'm so grateful for the help, can't wait for future sessions and learning more from him. Highly recommend 5*

Can't thank Lewis enough sent Cass for help with a few issues he's a very excitable distracting Border with reflection issues also reactive to cars (chasing) he's come home with great lead control and doesn't try to chase cars now and is a joy to take out. We're still working on his reflection obsession with advice from Lewis that is still a work in progress but we have started to see a big difference, he's so much calmer and enjoys all the jobs he now has, I can't recommend enough and if we go away next year I will definitely look into sending Cass for a top up with Lewis.

Lewis and Finchpark K9 services came to attention by way of recommendation. I have a young Doberman and had been completely out of my comfort zone with training and obedience, so much so, that I had sadly considered rehoming as a potential option. Lewis took my dog for a three week residential and I was immediately impressed by his transparency, through communication and above all else, his experience and genuineness as a trainer. Lewis kept me updated throughout with regards to progress updates, with text messages, photographs and videos.
I could see a marked difference almost immediately and the dog that came home to me was certainly not the same dog I had originally left is his care. The transformation has been incredible and even now back in my care and home, those improvements have been consistently demonstrated.
I’m very grateful to Lewis and couldn’t recommend him enough.
