Don't know what the negative reviews are saying. The support here has been great. All the staff are super patient and understanding. All you have to do is reach out.

I've had multiple panic attacks due to anxiety and every time the support I've received has been amazing. As an autistic student, I love it here. It's a wonderful, diverse, creative atmosphere where anyone can unlock their full opportunity.

Only thing I dislike is the extortionate prices of groceries. It's safe to say they take advantage of lazy students who don't want to walk to Asda. Besides that, they'll offer support financially if you truly need it!

It was a nice place. The room was just a room with bed and bathroom. The bed was not the best. There is a communal kitchen for each set of 7 rooms. The place was clean and well maintained shops near and easy access once to find your way around and the staff was friendly.

I would say that it's a good place for education, my daughter really love it, but its disappointing that students who work hard but are shy would not be able to pursue their dreams in falmouth university because there's not enough accomodation . Students either move somewhere else or has to drop out. There are accomodation that are too expensive for students to afford. Now that the government has lessen the maintenance fee given to students who leave away from their parents it's just to impossible for them to afford those expensive student accomodation that are usually left by the the month of March April, and may.

I am a postgrad. I have been educated at 3 Unis of which Falmouth is one. The University experience here is on par with my other college experiences and study.

I believe that at every college you study at what you get out of it has a lot to do with what you put into it and of course the guidance you receive along the way.

If you are self_motivated and a doer, you will get a lot from this University; it has quite an open door to other departments and the facilities and open access as well.

For me, being part of the community here in the summer is special and I would not want to be anywhere else (not so much in the winter).

As for the choice of your college to study at, I would think about what are the important factors for you to receive a good education? Is it the course? College life? The friends you make at Uni? ( I have had mine now for over 20 years).

Take a balanced view and choice and have a good education at your chosen college.

PS. I am not a member of staff 🙂

I moved here from Malaysia and started my BSc in Business in 2018. Everything throughout my course was enjoyable. Lecturers are very nice and friendly. No complains. However, just a couple months before graduating, I had been working with the Director of the business school to gain the start up visa. We had been working through my business plan to be submitted to immigration. Everything had been finalised with the Director and he had agreed to sign off the sponsorship letter to me until just before Christmas and a month before my student visa expired, he decided to tell me he can't help and they were 'sorry'. At this point I was furious and disappointed by the response and asked the Director if I could contact him in future to possibly try again and he AGREED! A couple months later, I emailed the Director. Not only once but THREE TIMES. I NEVER got a reply or even an acknowledgement that he had received my email. Tried contacting his assistant and of course, NO REPLY.

If Falmouth University and the Business School isn't capable of committing to such important issues such as this which includes immigration and application of visas, why would you even say yes from the beginning. I've wasted 5 months preparing documents and business plans just to be DECLINED.

Hopefully future international students will not go through such a horrible and irresponsible experience like this!
