Great little campsite in a beautiful location. We were greeted by Kat who showed us around and to our pitch. She was very helpful, and all the staff were very friendly. This campsite has the brilliant added bonus of having a dog shower behind reception. A professional dog grooming shower which is fantastic as we camp with our dog. The Brook House Inn is at the end of the road, if you fancy food and/or drinks, again all the staff were really friendly and the Boot Inn is also around the corner. Lots to see and do, would happily visit again.

Very well run campsite.
Larger than normal pitches with most having electric hook ups.
Toilets and showers always clean.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Our 2nd time here and we will definitely be returning

a great base to camp in eskdale has all the amenities at hand ,lots of hookups, large pitches so your not ontop ov everyone, clean and tidy toilets and shower rooms,has a dry room,for all your wet gear, a shop which has everything you need the staff are great at going that extra mile ,ie( i had a flat battery on car and the lady came to my rescue, A BIG THANK YOU 😊). there's a couple of pubs within walking distance, lovely food and a pint 😀 👍 after a long day's walk .

Lovely reasonably small campsite with easy access to nearby hills and mountain trails. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and well looked after site with good facilities.

It feels like you’re on top of the world driving here. The site was a beautiful and is mainly occupied by walkers (leisure and serious) and climbers and cyclists. The site is immaculate as are the facilities. The NT reception and shop has very friendly staff and stocks key basics plus other sundries. Mainly tents and camper vans. Caravans not allowed. Views are spectacular and the occasional RAF jet thundering is overhead. Perfect!!

Perfect campsite! Stayed here a few times and can’t fault it. Amazing location, lots of paths in all directions so easy to walk to fells, river, pub and railway. great facilities and shop. Friendly, reliable National Trust management. Variety of pitches in open flat space tucked away in woodland or by river. Kids play areas too.

We had such a wonderful stay here and will definitely be returning.
The facilities were always clean, the shop was lovely to have for extra bits and staff were always really helpful and friendly.
The campsite itself had stunning views and was a great base for beautiful walks in the surrounding area.
It was a very safe camping community too.
Can't wait to plan our next visit!

The site itself is superb. Clean and well kept. The toilets and showers were warm and spanking. The staff also cannot be faulted. Friendly and so helpful, but the site really needs a night warden. Our first night was disturbed by 4 guys chatting till nearly 3am. Second night there were children still careering through the camp, Well after 10pm. We were booked in for 3 nights. We didn't bother and came home. Please note this is not a reflexion of the camp site itself but about thoughtless people, who give not a care for others.
