After a difficult experience with another company, I found myself once again searching for the right electric wheelchair. I turned to ChatGPT for advice and comparisons, and that’s when I discovered Distribe Ltd—what a relief that turned out to be!
From the very first call, David was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely caring. He took the time to listen to my needs, even though he was at work and promised to follow up with some options by email that evening. True to his word, he sent a thoughtful selection of chairs tailored to what we’d discussed.
Over the next few days, we exchanged several calls and emails, and I eventually chose the Robooter E80, along with an additional airline battery so I could travel with ease. I explained I needed to wait for a refund from the previous company before placing an order, which David completely understood and appreciated me keeping him informed—despite saying I didn’t need to explain. His patience and knowledge really stood out.
Once my refund came through, I spoke to David about placing the order. To my surprise, he kindly offered to personally deliver the chair to my home the following Monday so I could try it out and myself and my daughter could go through everything with him. After chatting with family, we decided I would really need it sooner. When I let David know, he offered to bring it the very next day as he was working not too far away. I was blown away by his generosity.
As promised, David arrived with a brand-new, boxed Robooter E80, and also a golf ball joystick, and a cushion for me to try out. He took the time to unbox and set up the chair, walk my daughter and me through every feature, demonstrate how to fold, unfold and use it, and thoroughly explain the app. His knowledge and patience were outstanding. He’s also arranged for the airline battery to be delivered separately in the coming days and he even took the box away with him so we didn’t have to dispose of it.
I genuinely couldn’t be happier with the care and support David has provided. Distribe Ltd is a fantastic company, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of mobility equipment. David went above and beyond—not just for me, but for my whole family (including our toy poodle Bear, who now has a new best friend, he absolutely adored David!).

Having the assessment at home with samples to try was amazing as when spending a considerable amount on an item being able to feel if it is comfortable eased the nervousness for me. I first contacted David from Distribe Ltd a few years ago after seeing someone on a self-balancing Genny mobility scooter on a TV programme.
David asked me if I would like a demo and even though it was a 400-mile round trip from Bridgnorth to Colchester, he was happy to make the journey.
I wasn't too comfortable with the Genny David brought with him. The Genny didn't have any brakes, it was just a matter of leaning backwards to stop, but David didn't put me under any pressure to buy it. Instead he said there was a newer model on the horizon which would be available in a year or so. He said he'd be happy to keep me up to date with it's release in case I was still interested.
When the new model became available David got in touch and said if I'd like to try it out he would be happy to bring it over for a test drive - another 400-mile round trip!
I spent an hour or so learning how to manoeuvre the new Genny Zero. It was much smarter and more futuristic than the previous model, but more importantly it felt easier to control - although I was still worried I might crash into something or someone!
Again, David wasn't pushy and didn't make me feel I had to buy anything. He just told me to think about it and left it up to me to get in touch with him as the actual release date wasn't for a few more months.
In fact the release date was put back a few times but I'd already made my mind up to buy one.
When it finally became available I was expecting Distribe Ltd to send my new purchase on a pallet which would be left outside for me to unpack, but no! David drove all the way from Bridgnorth and spent two hours walking around the block with me on my Genny, instructing me how to deal with different driving situations. When he felt I was competent enough (although I didn't) he left me with details in case I needed to get in touch.
In summary, I have been very pleased with the way David and Distribe Ltd have dealt with me. I would happily recommend them to anyone wishing to purchase anything from them and if I could award them more than five stars, I would. 🙂

Dave has been very supportive and helpful in all aspects of my purchase of a Robooter A 60. He travelled to Kent with a selection of chairs for me to try in my real world conditions - which were quite tough. Only the Robooter coped with the camber on the pavements. Without trying it at home I might have made another decision that would not have worked out so well.
Dave has also worked on the cushioning and other aspects of the chair to personalise it to my requirements as much as possible.
