As a grown up, my testimonial for Didasko Maths may come as a surprise for some given my area of employment (finance) and the fact that my kids are grown up but Caitlin & I were chatting & a suggestion came out about doing adult learning sessions for proper, working maths skills. I agreed to be a guinea pig.

I should divulge here that yes I work with numbers, but apart from basic adding & subtracting, I only use percentages & ratios, everything else has not been looked at since I left school in 1989 - that is a very long time ago - AND (face grimaces shamefully here) on the day of my last maths exam (my 4th because, well, trigonometry) I had toothache, & someone told me to drink whiskey, so I did. About a bottle of Jack Daniel's finest; so by the time I arrived to sit my exam, I was a smidge worse for wear, but somehow, I managed to take my seat up without anyone noticing. I even managed to muddle through it, including the trigonometry section... PHEW!

Fastforward 32 years: I have lived my whole life without actually understanding trig so this became one of our focus areas as part of our adult learning session.

Teaching grown ups is not the same as teaching kids, it is a whole different skill set and language - yes your pupil may be more motivated to learn, but you're also dealing with someone who hasn't given a single thought to maths since they left school, so before doing anything she has to reactivate those long dormant skills without the subject feeling 'meh' about it.

Amazingly, she not only managed to awaken a long forgotten skill I had in calculating probability, she also managed something which numerous maths teachers failed to do. She got my belligerent brain to wrap itself around that leviathan of trigonometry and make it work - in ONE HOUR!! Now if she can do that with my old & mathematically challenged brain, just imagine what she can do with a young, information absorbing brain.

I honestly can't recommend her highly enough. BEST TUTOR EVER.

Was really stuck when I decided to home school my daughter. Looked everywhere but to no avail. Finally, came across Didasko Maths and Caitlin Watson. The Maths Wizard.

She is totally unbelievable, I was apprehensive at first because it was my first time homeschooling my child. But she made my daughter feel at ease.

Her knowledge and teaching, I can say is second to none. My Daughter was predicted a grade F at school. With few lessons from Caitlin. She is heading for an A.
