Stayed here for a night to celebrate partners birthday! They gave us a little note and some chocolate to welcome him which I found was a heartwarming gesture as most places won’t do this. The breakfast was good! Had vegetarian options (veggie sausages on ask) and the afternoon tea was perfect! (Also had vegetarian options) the spa was lovely but I have to say it’s a bit small… considering it’s a 4 star hotel I think the spa needs an upgrade. Overall, a beautiful lovely stay!

Situated in beautiful grounds with some unspoilt views. Room had all we needed including an exceptionally comfortable bed! Staff were friendly and helpful. Ate in Bistro and had Breakfast, both very nice. Swimming pool was a little chilly but the hotel itself and room were both a little too warm, so it was a good way to cool down ?

Spend 2 nights for hubby birthday.
Customer relations manager Paul made our stay, with a Happy Birthday dessert & something for our room.
Staff all very lovely, great atmosphere, bars are gorgeous and food really good.
All in all a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. Very dog friendly too. Thank you for a memorable stay.

I stayed with my partner who booked it for us. The building is very beautiful from the outside and the main rooms also - reception, library room and restaurant. I personally enjoyed the restaurant afternoon and evening food. The breakfast is pretty poor- hardly any warm selection, only sausages and cold eggs.
The bedrooms need updating. TVs are very small. The spa is very average, nothing special and you have to pay to hire robes.

We stayed at the DeVere Tortworth Court Hotel for one night over New Year’s Eve with a group of friends so that we could celebrate the year’s end at the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner. |Check in was fine although there was rather long queue. We were allocated room 173 on the ground floor in the Courtyard block, to the side of the hotel (which had its own car park). |The room was spacious and comfortable but a bit tired. There was plenty of sitting space and room for your baggage. There was a large wardrobe which had a room safe, iron and ironing board. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, heated towel rail with nice thick bath towels. Toiletries were on offer via dispensing bottles. The room itself was vey quiet but the plumbing in the bathrooms was very loud and you could easily be woken up by neighbours using their bathroom.|The is a huge hotel which I think hosts various different events at the same time. There was a wedding party there while we had our New Year’s Eve event. The building is very interesting and grand with lots of lovely public rooms. The Atrium Bar was attractive and the breakfast room was beautiful. |Our function for New Year’s Eve was okay. The start wasn’t brilliant. There was supposed to be a glass of fizz and canapés on offer from 7 pm. We got there at 7.15 pm and were told the glasses of fizz were gone already. We tackled a couple of the staff who managed to rustle up another 8 glasses for our party. The canapes, sadly, were just a paper cone containing two chips, a fish goujon and a bit of tartare sauce. The dinner in the Westminster Suite was large (a few hundred guests) but was well managed by the restaurant manager. We had 4 courses which were all good with generous portions. Then we had coffee and petit fours. After the meal there was a group playing live music who I didn’t think was playing the right sort of music for this function. They played for 2 hours taking us to midnight but we didn’t have much of a countdown to midnight and to the start of the new year. We just did our own thing. However, a complimentary glass of fizz was brought out for a New Year toast. Then followed a hour of music with a DJ who was good. The event finished at 1 pm but we then retired to the Atrium Bar which was open until around 2pm. |Breakfast the next morning was very good. Plenty of choice of hot and cold buffet. The hot food looked and tasted freshly cooked. Check out was supposed to have been 11 am but we didn’t leave until around 11.30 but the staff didn’t seem perturbed. |All in all, we had a brilliant time but there were a couple of niggles.

Got a great deal via secret escapes - gorgeous building, a really warm and smiley welcome from staff on Friday 6th Dec 8pm. The hotel looked great for Christmas. Loved the love music. Didn’t think much to the coffee at breakfast or the food but the overall atmosphere was lovely and we will be back. Loved having a room in the main building. Hotel full of families and couples celebrating which made for a lovely vibe.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff, a lovely room perfect for the dogs and the food was excellent.|The hotel is beautiful anyway with its magnificent architecture and gardens, but the fabulous decoration added to the festive feeling. Despite its apparent grandness, the feel is very relaxed and comfortable, and I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a lovely hotel that is so happy to accept dogs. The other guests were also a pleasure to be with.|The staff are so friendly and helpful and fun and really added to the enjoyment of our stay, special mention for Alex the duty manager, Narcissa and Sam in the Atrium bar, Charlie and Will in the Library bar, Scott and Cody in the restaurant. Gina and Natasha in reception and Hannah the Leaf Spa Who gave me a fabulous massage, and Jeni in housekeeping. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay a fabulous experience.
