Played here for the first time on Tuesday and it turned out to be a very lucky find. We had an 11:00 am tee time and found the course to be very quiet. The course itself is quite a challenge and was in very good condition. Super clubhouse with very friendly staff.

Beautiful interior with fairy lights across a big tree, very welcoming and friendly. Staff were very helpful & polite. Excellent food! service, & good prices for set meals either 2 or 3 courses or individual dishes. I chose vegetarian sausages, mash, peas, onion gravy ( with shallots) it was absolutely gorgeous, one of the best veggie meals I’ve eaten in a long time. Piping hot ! Couldn’t fault the food ( we had dessert too & the cheesecake was gorgeous) lovely afternoon with friends and we sat for over 3 hours and were left to do this with no hassle from the staff who kept checking on us and bringing coffee or drinks as we wanted them… Excellent!!

Had a birthday lunch here. Staff were lovely. My table was lovely, and a great sunday vibe was had by all....Food was amazing and very tasty... asked for more cauliflower cheese as there was not enough on my plate, and my palette wanted more!
Had cheesecake and drinks.
Somewhere local where you can dress smart/ smart-casual or go for it and still feel comfortable. I enjoyed my day .

Really disappointing experience. Tipped up with the clubhouse closed, no clear signage to the first tee, there were a couple other groups who also hadn’t played before so didn’t know where to go.

We then had a group of members tip up after us who were obnoxious and rude, demanding to go ahead of us for them to then be awful and take ages to get round.

Don’t bother coming here to play golf in the winter. Booked a tee time for before 8:30 yet the gates were locked until 8:30, and were only opened by a member eventually who had turned up to play. We tried to phone but there was no answer. Once we got onto the course there were no staff on site. We had to tee off with no practise due to now teeing off late. The course was in terrible condition. This is to be expected in Winter, but other courses we have played have been significantly better in conditions. We were only told by members that holes 6 & 7 were unplayable, which we were not notified about prior to booking. As this is a ‘9 hole course’ that meant that only 14 of the 18 holes could be played but for the full price. The temporary greens were not acceptable. These were more like a flag pole in the middle of a fairway (a fairway that was in terrible condition). The set up as a whole was lazy and dreadful. The members were rude due to us being visitors and were not welcoming. We would not reccomend playing golf here in Winter, find a course which is looked after and the staff put effort in to making the course playable even during winter.
