From experience of my child attending the school, I wouldn’t recommend that anyone applies for their child to come here in September. My son has been massively let down time and time again with numerous ongoing issues that are not being resolved.
Thus far, I will admit that my son has had excellent class teachers who do appear to care and have empathy hence the 2 stars.
However, other faculty members involved in my child's care can come across as defensive and stand offish and things have gone down hill massively since the new head teacher has taken office. Dojo comments for parents have been switched off which indicates just how little they think of parents and their opinions and questions.
A special thanks to certain teachers who are the best part about the place, the things that you do are appreciated and I recognise how amazing you do with what little resources you have.
EDIT
Dropped down to one star due to further issues, will continue to edit post as the issues mount up.
This morning at breakfast club, the elderly lady with short hair who works there, who usually just sticks to giving myself and my child dirty looks, point blank ignored us when signing in, not a word was spoken, just a filthy look and a deep sigh. Not sure if the recent tripling of the price of breakfast club is a pay incentive for staff to be rude to parents?
If your child needs SENCO support, avoid this school as you will get no help whatsoever. I’ve been waiting months for involvement, I got a phone call a month ago whilst I was busy at work, asked if she could call back in 10 minutes, the phone cut off. I tried to ring the school office back immediately (it was 4pm on a Friday) no answer. Rang the office the following Monday and left a message with reception, nothing. Left a further message with reception. Nothing. Asked my son’s class teacher twice, nothing. This being a directive from social care back in May, it’s December now.
