It is a terrifying place. Save yourself. Certain teachers (wont name any names), were really kind and caring towards me, however the whole college in total was awful. Was told when i auditioned that all staff are trained to deal with autistic students and support us, but i got there and it was the opposite because i didnt recieve my access arrangements which i was entitled to, causing me to fail GCSE maths. I was also told I cant do the course because i was too “enotionally unstable.” And told maybe the industry i wanted yo do wasnt for me, just cus i was a sensetive kid. I was going through a very hard time and was running away from cov multiple times because i was so miserable and fed up with life. Also, Canteen prices were ridiculous and there was always a bunch of chavs who would tease me on the steps outside because im ginger. Very bad support system and wouldnt recommend. Jess was nice tho. She helped me a lot when i was sad.

Most teachers in the department were really kind and understanding but the cons of this place outweigh the pros. Honestly i think iWouldnt come here again even if it was here or die.

I found this college extremely supportive, caring and safe. The dinner ladies, security guards and wellbeing team really helped to support me and my daughter and brightened my day. My teacher was so lovely, kind, helpful and made me giggle. Couldn't have had a better experience.❤️
Only thing I won't miss is the stairs!😉

Ive been to many schools and colleges as i havent lived in coventry my whole life. But this college is terrible. They dont take care of drama. They just leave it until things get worse. Teachers are HORRENDOUS. My maths teacher didnt teach me a thing throughout the whole year and could barely speak english. My other teachers were genuinely just rude. Horrible school do not come here. They do not make you feel welcome whatsoever. Very strict on all the wrong things and little things but not things they should actually worry about

One of the worst colleges, most teachers are incompetent, some have no knowledge of what they even teach, The college has been excluded from doing apprenticeships because they weren’t teaching their students anything at all, the same thing takes place in most of the courses. Would never recommend going to this college unless you want to suffer bullying, humiliation and so on from your teachers.

What I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment with the experiences I have had at north building reception . It is with great regret that i inform about agrsively I had from one of the receptionists lady at the college.
Once with this receptionist, I've in the elevator where she, along with two other staff members, the other 2 remained silent while she aggressively questioned my right to use the elevator. I was taken aback by her hostile tone, and in response, I explained that I have difficulty walking and was waiting for the doctor's note , to obtaining my badge.
Unfortunately, today 16 of January at 9 30 my second time with the same reseptionist lady, I had forgotten my ID, and I was well aware of the college's rules regarding identification. Seeking assistance, I approached her, but instead of providing any help, she demanded a payment of 5 pounds for a new badge. I explained my predicament, stating that I had forgotten everything in the car and that my husband had taken the car to the garage when he dropped me However, she not only refused to empathize with my situation, she didn't ask for my name or ID number to verify my identity.
After waiting for an hour without making any progress, I approached another receptionist for assistant . This receptionist took the time to ask for my name and ID, genuinely trying to help. However, to my surprise, the receptionist I had asked help from earlier intervened and prevented the other receptionist from assisting me. She claimed to have spoken with my teacher, stating that no ID no class. I was perplexed as to how she knew which teacher I was referring to or what class I was a part of, considering she had not asked for my name or ID number during our previous interaction. My intention was solely to address the issue at hand and assure her that I was a law-abiding student who had not violated any rules or engaged in any misconduct. Regrettably, the receptionist's conduct left much to be desired and basic human decency.
I strongly believe that it is incumbent upon the college to ensure that all staff members, especially those in customer-facing roles, exhibit the highest standards of professionalism, empathy, and respect. The receptionist in question should receive kind regards

'Open day' 27th April 2024...
We were instructed to make our way to the Allan Higgs centre to see about the public services course. We have been and come home as absolutely nobody was there like you said there would be when booking our place/time slot. We were not the only ones who turned up expecting to see someone. The poor receptionist was oblivious to any such open day at the Allan Higgs centre and we had nobody to call to ask what is going on. People have travelled to ask about the courses you offer and for nobody to even be there is abysmal. Very poor planning on behalf of Coventry College. Absolutely WILL NOT be sending our son to your college now. There was No email to say change of plan don't turn up here. Alot of children will be disappointed and alot of parents annoyed at a wasted journey. We read some reviews about the college last night... today has confirmed what we read. Lucky escape maybe. 😡
