Some incredible scenery here. You've got it all. A couple of lakes, the woods, the canal and stunning open spaces. I tend to walk here along the old railway track from between Holme Pierrepont/Radcliffe-on-Tren, then back home to Gamston along Grantham canal. It makes for a really substantial walk and a great day out on a nice day.

Great place to go for a walk or cycle. You can go round quiet a few times and still find new things to explore. Good for the family or walking the dog. There's even a lake for the dogs to jump in. If you go at the right time of year, there's a chance you will see the newly born animals too!

Nice place to visit for walks. Pond and canal offer some nice views with lots of wildlife and wildflowers. Paths are well maintained and very accessible to walkers. Sign posts with coloured waymarked routes make it easy to follow paths for walking.

One of the best country parks in Nottingham. A great place for a walk with the dogs and kids.

There are lots of different routes around the park with different short cuts which makes it perfect for escaping the hustle and Brussel at busier times.

The views from the high view point gives fantastic views across the whole of Nottingham.

Well worth a visit

Not the country park your expecting.
So much oportunity was missed when developing the site, if it had permanent facilities like Ruddington so a fenced in area consisting of toilet block and basic cafe and a bigger carpark, then it could have successfully held a Parkrun and be a more inviting area to come, however what you have is an infested swamp pond for your dogs to swap diseases, which is nice and some wearing tracks and fenced blocked access along the cycle route, whilst the tracks are sufficient to walk, there is no real exercise area, no field to stretch your legs, have a picnic, play football, fly a kite, chill out. You have an orbital path round a KEEP OFF MOI LAND permit members only fishing pond.

So much oportunity missed
