I completed the proofreading and copy editing course recently and would highly recommend it. The content was detailed and thorough, but easy to follow with clear examples in each unit. My tutor responded promptly to any queries and went into a lot of detail in her advice, which I found most helpful. CMP communications were excellent throughout. I feel well prepared to start taking on some clients and I know that my own writing has improved as a result.

I just completed the copywriting course from College of Media and Publishing, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough! The course materials are extensive, practical, and well-structured. I learnt how to improve my writing, adapt to different formats (like blogs, outdoor ads, and paper-based mailings), and even gained valuable insights into job searching and developing a career.

My tutor, Julian Brouwer, was consistently supportive and kind, always providing thoughtful, encouraging feedback. His guidance kept me motivated throughout the course. I’ve learned so much and cannot wait to implement my new skills at work!

The creative writing class was an outstanding experience that covered multiple aspects of creative expression, from poetry and personal essays to fiction and reflective writing. The lesson material was thorough, well-structured, and engaging, offering valuable insights into different writing styles, techniques, and approaches. Each module encouraged exploration and creativity, making the learning process both enjoyable and instructive.

The assignments were particularly inspiring, pushing me to experiment with different forms of writing and step outside my comfort zone. Whether it was crafting a compelling short piece, refining descriptive language, or exploring the rhythm of poetry, each task provided a meaningful opportunity to develop my skills. The variety of exercises made the class dynamic and enjoyable.

A key strength of the course was the tutor’s feedback. Always respectful and encouraging, the critiques offered helpful tips and practical advice that enhanced my writing. The constructive suggestions allowed me to refine my work while maintaining my unique voice and style.

The online platform was easy to navigate, making participation smooth and accessible. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to expand their creative writing skills across multiple formats. It’s an excellent opportunity to explore different writing outlets in a supportive and engaging environment.

CMP is an outstanding provider of business- and marketing-focused writing, editing, and proofreading courses (among other areas). Having completed two of their courses, I can say with completely confidence that they are extremely thorough and well worth the investment of your money and time. The materials and tutoring are first-rate. You will not be disappointed.

Horrible Organization! Would Not Recommend!!
From the outset this Organization caused me nothing but problems!

Initially, there was issues with the payment being processed to sign up, that lead to lengthy e-mails going back and forth seeking redress. I got the impression that there was a level of incompetency.

The same person was replying all the time which made me first think it was a one man band offering courses, felt very unprofessional.

To cut to the chase, recently while doing a Course Assignment, when getting feedback from a Tutor he said

TUTOR:
In an e-mail just days prior to the below remarks this Tutor said to me that there was something in the recording I sent over for assessment that he was unsure about and I had replied to him

" No problem, once you are sure about whatever it is you are referring to please revert back to me, or if I can be of any assistance to you prior don't hesitate to let me know, otherwise I look forward to hearing from you in due course."

Then I got this message in the inbox in the learning area of their site

" In your first recording, it appears that you 'voiced' the contributor and in the second I suspect you used some kind of AI or automated speech tool,

I shared your recordings with the college office and the team there reached the same conclusion. ".

I was offended that this Tutor had shared with me prior via e-mail that he had a concern about something about my recording, and I gave him the opportunity to ask me for clarification, but instead he slandered me to an office full of people while while bringing my integrity into question!

I then responded to him and told him I was concerned in the way he went about it, I 100% understand that it's the Tutor's job to critique the work, and I am completely ok with that and welcome critique as that's how you learn, but this was not critique it was someone who assumed I was cheating without asking, but instead chose to slander me to a room full of people instead of seeking clarification from me at first opportunity.

Because I voiced my concerns about this with the Tutor directly, I got a nasty e-mail passive aggressive from one of the founders who was highly unprofessional - Who made it impossible for me to continue the course, so after completing several assignments and getting an A on one of them at the start, I now have had to Quit the course as they made my position in the course untenable!

One of the founding members then Suspended my course, allowing all my hard work to go down the drain all because I didn't want my integrity questioned.

Also take this into careful consideration - In one of the Assignments they it said clearly " Find two different news stories " and I done this exactly the way they asked then one of the founders said in their e-mail to me " you appear to have breached our Plagiarism policy by presenting a script copied and pasted from a particular website "

They asked me to " FIND " two news stories in the assignment, that's what I done I found them, they didn't say you must write them yourself specifically word for word, Finding stories and making stories up are very different requirements, then they appeared to accuse me of Plagiarism despite the fact that the information provided to them was for demonstration purposes only!

I have taken to liberty to write this review honestly and fairly to help prevent others from falling victim to this dreadful company the way I did, save your hard earned cash, Trust me! Go somewhere else that respects you!

I would NOT RECOMMEND The College Of Media And Publishing to anybody under any circumstances and urge people to steer clear of what would appear to be to me a small run company by 2 or 3 people who appear to be extremely rude!

It would appear that this company wasted my time, slandered me, disrespected me then suspended my course based on their unfounded assumptions that I used an AI assisted tool.

Save your time, money and self respect and stay far far away from this rotten, horrible, vile company!!

Can't give any lower than 1 star to post or I would.

The copywriting course exceeded my expectations. It took around 6 months for me to complete the course around my full time job. I liked being able to complete the lessons and assignments at my own pace. My tutor, Elena always responded very quickly and provided useful feedback. I have learnt so much through this course and feel more confident with my copywriting skills as a result.
