One of the larger colleges in Cambridge for tourists to visit, Christ's College offers a pleasant glimpse into what student life in Cambridge is about. You can walk around the extensive courts and garden, but not enter the facilities as such. However, entrance is free and available all year-round (see homepage). The garden is especially niece, ideal to take a temporary reprieve fom the bustle and hustle in the city. Founded in 1437, some buildings of the current college date back to the 17th century. Well worth a visit, especially since it's free. You can download a map from their homepage.

Walking around this garden in Cambridge is like escaping to a tranquil oasis. The Christ College gardens have something to offer every season. First Court, the oldest part of the College, is home to a stunning 200-year-old Wisteria and its circular lawn is the only one of its kind in all of Cambridge’s 31 Colleges.

If you want to have a wonderful Cambridge experience, book a superior room at the college, overlooking the beautiful garden and enjoying breakfast at their dining Hall. Right in the center of town, I took an Uber from the station- about £8 including £2 tip- and I walked back for my return- about 20 minute-simple walk. Welcoming staff and easy check-in. My room was bigger than an average hotel accommodation. It had a private tiny shower in a giant toilet room. Breakfast was cafeteria-style, including many hot options. The breakfast hall is rather unkept and a bit dirty, staff don't seem to mind. Skip breads and pastries, not the bakery kind. You can still have a nice start in the morning with fresh fruits, full English breakfast or a slice of salmon.

Interesting experience to stay in a college dorm. Planeful but clean room, with kind staffs. The enviornment is quiet and beautiful, also the location is excellent in Cambridge!
