It will have taken two and a half weeks for me to get started with both of the modules I purchased. I bought a membership online which took over a week to sort out, and was told a different thing each time when on the phone to them. First time it was 24 hours to process, second time it was 48 hours to process then the third time I rang they said their systems havenā€™t registered the order and had to put it through manually which took a further 48 hours to process. Once my membership had been activated I ordered my courses at the members price and got an order confirmation within an hour of purchasing. I waited 48 hours and then rang to see why I couldnā€™t access my courses for me to be told that they havenā€™t once again registered the order and had to do it manually and even suggested that Iā€™m better purchasing the learning material on the telephone instead of online. My order consisted of two modules with print study texts, I waited another 72 hours for the textbooks to arrive for me to only take delivery of one textbook. I rang them again which by the way takes 30min each time to get through to somebody, for them to say oh weā€™ll send you one out and their system hasnā€™t registered it properly. This is supposed to be a respected and professional organisation and all I have experienced are delays. I have rang this place over seven times in the last two and a half weeks now. I would have gone elsewhere if this wasnā€™t the most accredited institute for the course Iā€™m undertaking.

Tie you into doing their exams, continually try and rip you off and then will run out of bookings for an exam they only put on 4 times a year well over a month before itā€™s on, after very happily taking your money for it and not picking up the phone to help sort booking issues. They know once youā€™re tied in you will have spent too much time and money with them to change provider.

Be careful about choosing to go down the CII route, Iā€™ve not done any of the others but no idea how it could be any worse. The staff are nice but whoeverā€™s responsible for making sure this ā€œinstitutionā€ actually works properly for their customers needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask themselves if theyā€™re taking advantage of people, or maybe theyā€™re just absolutely atrocious at their job.

Appalling experienceā€¦extremely unprofessional and incompetent.

Iā€™m simply bewildered how they run this body - Iā€™m half way through my exams, otherwise I would go elsewhere. Very disappointing! Do not recommend them!

Had an awful exam experience with these people. 2.5 hr online exam - averted eyes from the screen for literally 2-3 seconds to rest, and they threatened to fail me.

When I said NHS recommendations say we should rest our eyes for 20 seconds every 20 minutes when looking at a screen - they didnā€™t even bother to comment on that or show how they comply, and instead gave a gaslighting response instead - suggesting I ask for reasonable adjustments next timeā€¦for permissionā€¦ to rest my eyesā€¦seriously?!

I passed the exam, but the online experience is the worst Iā€™ve ever had in my life. Iā€™d recommend going to one of the other providers who arenā€™t so draconian.

I attend the quarterly regional conferences and they are usually interesting and useful. They always lay on a good buffet and very tasty biscuits, too.
