the goods = info tech and computer science are good lesson Goddard is fire teacher (is good). drama is fun.
the bad = school is braking apart (its very old school).student council is a bit of a joke. i have had Spanish and English teachers covering for maths. had math teachers covering for English. not aloud to were a flag on your bag un less western or Ukraine. mental health is pathetic. intruder drills are terrible. if i can escape school I will. not what in a class room were they know we are and what for death. Wife for teachers and students are horrid. languages to pick from is Spanish or French no other. no showers after P.E. not aloud to speak your mind or support who you want. every one vapes. they tell people of for watching a fight not the people fighting. would advise not going unless you don't have high expectations. but nice teachers 🙂 (ish)

The security for the school is non existent as there are 4 fences, 3 of them having spikes that do nothing and the 4th having none, aswell as the 1st fence having a hole near the bottom which allowed people to go through. The fire and intruder drills are at most lack luster and at least terrible. Most of the bathrooms are either reserved for the teachers or locked, and the ones that are unlocked have mold or are covered in shit. There is barely any parking. Some of the teachers are nice, but they are usually for the subjects that are options except for design. The people who are supposed to support mental health don't know what they're doing. The Wi-Fi is god awful. None of the fire alarms work, though the vape alarms in the bathroom are extremely sensitive. The science classrooms are way too small for normal practicals. The cameras throughout the school work only sometimes, and the teachers give a lecture to the people who defend themselves rather than the people who start a fight. All of the tables are either broken, have gum underneath or both. The school council is basically a joke. The canteen food can be comparable to a used shoe, and the fire point aswell as the corridors arent big enough. The school uniform is only specific for one day, being too hot in summer and too cold in winter, and the laptops used for the kids who need them are either ancient or broken.

I left Casterton Community College as it was known back then, in 2004. When I attended this school, Mr Carl Smith was the Deputy Head teacher (Mr. Bird was the head) and would often stand in on various lessons when teachers were absent. Mr Smith also taught me for ‘’Business Studies’’ which I absolutely hated. He once told me that if I did not gain a better understanding and improve with my grades that I would not get a decent job. Well, I am actually very proud to say that despite not passing any GCSEs at Casterton, I am now 37 years old and earning a £50k/year salary working for an Offshore Oil Rig Company as an Accounting Technician who is fully AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualified. I get a substantial pay rise every year in April and I am very happy with what I have achieved since leaving school. I too was put into the school ‘’remove room’’ on 2 occasions and the reviews are accurate. It is very sad to see that things have not improved over all this time and just goes to show, it is not the student, it is the way the school and the teachers handle things. So, if anybody has been told something similar or just not doing very well in their exams, perhaps the reason is because you are not getting the right support from the school. Whatever results you leave with, it is not the end….it really is just the beginning for you. I am proof of that. Oh, and Mr Rawes you were an awesome history teacher. I always enjoyed your lessons, especially during the second half when you would let us watch ‘’The Simpsons’’ which I believe was your favourite TV show back then. A wonderful teacher with time for any student.

School outed me to my parents. Tried to off myself because of the school environment. Know friends who tried to off themselves for the same reason. Got told off for having a mental breakdown in lesson. Staff for mental health support have no idea what they're doing. Some teachers are okay like Miss Sewell. Carl Smith, the principal is completely terrible.

such a bad school honestly,there was behaviour problems that they never sorted out or tried to find out why it was happening they would just stick the kids in remove and leave them to it. they don’t care about the kids and they’ve shown it. Also one of the teachers vapes in the toilets with the boys which is concerning but carl smith hides all of that away just like he does the “naughty kids” the teachers hide away the “naughty kids” and never give them a chance. they took my phone off me two years ago and i still haven’t received it back? daylight robbery carl smith when will i be getting my phone back

Some teachers are ok but majority of them shouldn’t even work their. Katie and Carl impiticular- where the toxic behaviour is coming from.
